Shinobi Legions

This page contains no introduction.
What makes this game notable or what is it about? Are you a bad enough dude to save this article?

To do:
The following:

  • Regional differences: Soundtrack completely redone by Richard Jacques for the European version.
  • Get a rip of the unused song listed here and find out whether it still exists in Shinobi X.
  • Long and unwieldy Debug Mode code

Cheat Codes#

Level Select#

ShinobiLegionsLevelSelect.png

Pause during gameplay and press A, B, A, B, C to add the level number to the bottom left of the screen. Toggle it with Left and Right and press Start to go to the chosen level.

99 Lives#

On the title screen, highlight "Game Start" and press A, Z, B, Y, C, X, Start.

999 Shurikens#

In the Options menu, highlight "Shurikens", then hold L + R and press C, A, and B.

One-Hit Wonder Mode#

On the title screen, highlight "Game Start" and press A, B, C, B, A, Start. If entered correctly, the player will begin the game with zero lives and an energy meter that is no longer split into separate parts.

View FMV Cutscenes#

During the intro, press C, X, B, Y, A, Z, Start. Pressing Start again allows the player to toggle through the cutscenes. (This code only works in the Japanese and European versions.)

Title Screen#

Since the game has a different name depending on the region, all the title screen logos were adjusted accordingly.

Miscellaneous#

  • In the European version, the in-game music was replaced with new music by Richard Jacques, though the cutscene music tracks were left intact.
  • English subtitles were added to the cutscenes in the US and European versions.
  • For unknown reasons, the opening cutscene was removed from the US version. As a result, this also makes the above FMV cutscene cheat inaccessible.
