Free-Roam Tracks#
All tracks are listed internally by their corresponding city name followed by a number ("Florence 11", "Washington DC 3", "Barcelona 5", etc.). Each of these cities also has a route marked 0, which, with the exception of Stockholm and Edinburgh, loads a free-roam version with most barriers removed. An easy way to access these tracks is to edit PGR2\Frontend\Cars.ini, as every car has a route assigned as its Time Trial track. As these open cities were presumably used for testing and not intended for actual free roam use, there are many spots outside of the intended drivable areas where there is no collision detection and the car will fall through the map.
Unused Cars#
Maserati 4200 GT#

A fully functional Maserati 4200 GT, with completed model and physics data. The model is named 4300gt.pak_hrd and is located in PGR2\Cache\Cars, while its physics data is present in 4300GT.ini in PGR2\CarDynamics. The car lacks its own audio and frontend entries but can be used by either swapping over an existing car, or editing the frontend files to add it to one of the existing car classes.
BMW M Coupe#

A BMW M Coupé, named M Coupe.pak_hrd can also be found in PGR2\Cache\Cars. Unlike the 4200 GT, the M Coupe does not contain its own physics data, but this can be borrowed from a similar car such as the M3 Coupe or made from scratch. As with the 4200 GT, this car lacks its own audio and frontend entries, but can be added back to the game or swapped over an existing car.
BMW Z8#
The game also contains several files for the BMW Z8, however, unlike the previous two, the car isn't playable. It was later carried over as DLC for Project Gotham Racing 3. The car doesn't have stats attached to it, meaning that it most likely wasn't included due to time constraints.
Marcos Mantis LM#
The game also contains audio files for a Marcos Mantis LM, though it is not specified which LM model it is (LM400, LM500, LM600)
Mercedes-Benz CL 65 AMG#
This car is only referred to once, in the CarKeys.ini file in the Long Beach Booster Pack. However, the car was not included likely due to time constraints.
Unused Car Manufacturer Body Color Names#
Cars.ini, located in PGR2\Frontend, is the file that contains all possible car body colors. In it, there are also unused car body color names direct from the car manufacturers. In the game, there is no name attached to the body colors when selecting, as they are instead represented by a thumbnail of that color (for example, with the Pagani Zonda C12S, thumbnails display for the colors silver, black, blue, or yellow). The unused code seems to indicate that the color choices would have been based on those from the car manufacturer (in the case of the Pagani Zonda: New Zonda Silver, GTO Solano Black Pearl, C12 Pagani Blue, and C12 Pagani Yellow). It's likely that this was removed from the final version as some of the color names referenced licensed track names ("Le Mans", "Suzuka" and "Silverstone", among others), and therefore would have been subject to any legal action if included.

Removed Car Manufacturers#
Located in PGR2\Frontend is a file, Manufacturers.ini, which is a list of car manufacturers featured in the game. It contains strings for car manufacturers that never appear.
