Founded in 1988 as Raising Hell Software, Bizarre Creations was a developer known for their many racing games such as Metropolis Street Racer, the Project Gotham Racing series, and Blur. They also had developed other non-racing games such as several Geometry Wars titles.
They were acquired by Activision on September 26th, 2007, but on November 16th, 2010, Activision announced it was considering closing or selling Bizarre. No such buyer was found, and they would close by February 2011. A farewell video highlighting the studio's work would be released.
Several former employees would go on to form Lucid Games.
