Unused Code#

test.bnvib#

".BNVIB" is a proprietary Nintendo Switch data format which contains controller rumble information. This file, named test.bnvib, is located in a separate folder from the game's used vibration files. When used on a Nintendo Switch controller, it is 0.1 seconds of steady, moderate vibration.

Notes

MLP_CS_Beach_Cove_OUTRO_AUDIO_ONLY_v1

MLP_CS_BEACH COVE OUTRO_Audio Only_v4

Audio that was used during the Beach Cove outro cutscene. The final version is shorter and paced differently. Also, the unused version has "v1" in its name, and the final has "v4", implying the final audio is the fourth revision.

MLP_CS_RUNNER_HITCH_1_Audio Only

MLP_CS_RUNNER_HITCH_1_Audio Only_No Music

Audio used in the Sprout chase cutscene, specifically when Hitch sends the bunnies to help. The final audio has no music, which aligns with the file name.

music_fashion

MLP DANCE_new

This audio clip is an instrumental version of the song It's Alright from the My Little Pony: A New Generation movie. It was replaced by an original song for the game. The "fashion" in its name implies it was used in the Pipp Pipp Dance Parade minigame.

Unused Graphics#

Despite having the text 1920×1080, this image has the size of 512×256.

Due to the closure of the Google Stadia service, these textures now go unused, never to be seen again.

Unused Videos#

Duplicates of these unused videos are also present in the "Stadia" folder, in the .webm format.

FashionShowTutorial2#

An unfinished version of the "Pipp Pipp Dance Parade" minigame tutorial video. It is obviously from early on in development, but it follows the same premise of the minigame; inputting directions to a beat.

MLPAMBA_FashionShowTutorial2.mp4

The .mp4 file contains the following metadata:

Title: MyLittlePonySwitch - FashionShow - PC, Mac & Linux Standalone - Unity 2020.3.4f1 Personal <DX11>

This video also has an unused duplicate, named "VIDEOTUTORIAL_PP_FASHIONTUT11".

KickingPinataTutorial#

An early tutorial for kicking, which would use a tree as a target in-game, rather than a pinata. The area is visibly unfinished.

MLPAMBA_KickingPinataTutorial.mp4

The .mp4 file contains the following metadata:

Title: MyLittlePonySwitch - Brighthouse - Nintendo Switch - Unity 2020.3.4f1 Personal* <DX11>

This video also has an unused duplicate, named "VIDEOTUTORIAL_HC_SPECIALPTUT1".

MagicMirrorTutorial#

An unfinished version of the "Magic Mirror" tutorial video. The area is very barren and uses temporary textures. For a brief moment, the image of a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller can be seen, which was probably used as a placeholder for future controller UI elements. The pop-up has the text "WIP Magic Mirror" at the top, and the background has the pngtree watermark on it.
