Life Is Strange is an episodic game where you take the role of Maxine "Max" Caulfield, as she investigates the disappearance of Rachel Amber, a popular Blackwell student, and the strange events that begin happening in the town. Max gains the supernatural ability to rewind time, giving the player the ability to make different decisions based on things you learn.

It also contains a massive amount of unused dialog, including some dating back to the game's earliest points of development.

Unused Rewind Dialogue#

In the final game, objects and photos in Max's possession are unaffected by her powers. Unused, however, is dialogue indicating Max at one point lost her photos upon rewinding. The inclusion of this dialog is rather strange, as it didn't exist in the What If? prototype, and the entire plot hinges on Max being able to keep objects when she rewinds.
