Lemmings 2: The Tribes is DMA Design's follow up to the massively popular Lemmings. Let's go!

Sub-Pages#

Unused Graphics#

The Amiga version has the exact same cut tile graphics as the DOS version.

Unused Objects#

Trap and obstacle objects that are fully working but not used in any levels.

Classic Tribe#

The classic tribe oddly has both of its main traps cut from the game:

10 Ton Weight

It's notable how comedic and bloodless this trap is in comparison to...

Rock Trap
Lemmings2Amiga-BoulderTrap.gif
...How violent and gory this one is. Notably out of step with the general lack of blood and guts seen in the final game's traps, which may be why it was cut.

Outdoors Tribe#

Plant Catapult

Similar in design to the Cavelem dinosaur catapult. However, this one only triggers if a lemming falls from above onto the left edge of the tile it is positioned in.

Shadow Tribe#

Glue Pipe and Valve control

This unused object (the yellow pipe at the top of the above screenshots) constantly pumps out glue into the level until the valve (seen middle-right) is turned off by a lemming, or a certain threshold is reached. Once there is too much glue on-screen it will stop unless some of that glue runs offscreen or is destroyed. Likely cut as it can apparently cause the game to crash in some instances.

Egyptian Tribe#

Sand Pipe and Valve control

As with the Shadow lemmings, the Egyptians also have a cut pipe object. It uses the exact same graphics but this one produces thematically-appropriate sand rather than glue.
