The version that started it all. Guide your masses of fluro-haired nitwits past an endless array of flamethrowers, crushers, grinders, mild inclines and public-domain songs to safety!
Also includes the competitive two-player mode that a lot of the (many, MANY) ports cut because of how rare it was for other computers to support having two mice plugged in at once.

Revision Differences#
Budget Version#
A "budget" version of Lemmings was put together for use in hardware bundles (like the official Commodore A500+ "Cartoon Classics" bundle) and budget re-release labels. This version was cut down to a single disk to reduce manufacturing costs, and as such made a number of changes in the name of disk space.
Special Levels#
The four "special levels" - the ones that reference other Psygnosis titles with unique graphics - have been replaced with unique levels that use the standard tilesets.

Other Changes#
The intro cartoon has been removed, again for disk space reasons.
Book Club Version#
A version of the game produced for The Home Computer Club, a UK-based magazine. The subtitle "Book Club" is present on the disk label.
Replaced Levels#
Two of the levels were completely replaced with unique, exclusive levels. This was presumably partially to give the magazine and its subscribers something special for their trouble, and presumably to excise that ever-troublesome "All the 6's" level that was giving them grief on the ports...
