Spanish Translation Differences

This is a sub-page of Kirby: Triple Deluxe/Regional Differences.

Despite being fairly similar, the Latin American Spanish and Iberian Spanish translations versions of Kirby: Triple Deluxe differ significantly in some areas.

Please note that names after the "/" are names from the Iberian Spanish translation.

Graphical Differences#

Sun Stones#

When collecting the first Sun Stone in the game, the graphic at the top of the screen was changed from "¡Obtuviste una piedra solar!" (You obtained a sun stone!) to "¡Has conseguido una Piedra Solar!" (You got a Sun Stone!) in the European Spanish translation.

Similarly, the graphics that show up when collecting all of the Sun Stones in a stage was changed from "Etapa [#-#] ¡Recuperaste las piedras solares!" ([#-#] You got back all of the sun stones!) to "¡Has logrado todas las Piedras Solares de la etapa [#-#]!" (You got all of the Sun Stones from stage [#-#]!) for the European Spanish localization.

Combate Kirby/Combates Kirby#

Thanks to an unnecessary name change, the logo and icons for Combate Kirby (Kirby Fighters) were changed between versions to display "Combates Kirby".

Text Differences#

Lines displaying only these differences have been skipped from this article:

"oprime" and its conjugations in the Latin American Spanish version being changed to "pulsa" and its conjugations for the European Spanish version.
"aceptar" in the Latin American Spanish version being changed to "vale" in the European Spanish version.
Every instance of "piedra solar" in the Latin American Spanish version was changed to "Piedra Solar" in the European Spanish version.
