Unused Videos#
disclaimer.ogv#
An unused content disclaimer in video format titled disclaimer.ogv with Gex themed artwork and the G+ logo from the main menu in Ver. 1.0.1, which went unused in favor of an image titled Disc_EN.png with the Carbon Engine logo on a black background and different text. The video was removed from the files in the Ver. 1.0.2 update.

Contrary to what the name implies, this is actually just a copy of the game's reveal trailer from 2023, as can easily be found on YouTube. The only notable detail is that it retains the logos and copyright text for the platforms that it was originally planned to release on, including the seemingly cancelled PlayStation 4 port, whereas the version viewable in the extras gallery completely removes them.
Revisional Differences#
v1.0.1#
The initial release of the game.
v1.0.2#
This update for the game was released on July 16, 2025 for all platforms, bringing some revisional quality-of-life changes with it.
- The G+ logo in Ver. 1.0.1 was changed when entering the Main Menu in Ver. 1.0.2, possibly to make the new logo more resemble Netflix's own, with the black background also changed to green. The G+ icon was also changed to a new stylized G icon on the menu to reflect this, making the old G+ logo unused (but it can still be seen as a sticker on the games' soundtrack album icons in the Tailtunes menu).

- The update added in the ability to switch between the American, and European versions of the games in the menu (which also changes Gex's voice actor). This feature only applies to Gex: Enter the Gecko and Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko.
- Added a save state prompt upon finishing a level in every game to make sure players don't forget to save their progress.
- Improved frame pacing and reduced fps drops in all games.
- Improved several audio issues in Enter the Gecko and Deep Cover Gecko, like overlapping sound effects cancelling each other, some music tracks incorrectly playing with missing instruments, and the overall sound popping and stuttering due to the aforementioned frame pacing and fps drops.
- Added more people under a new "Frontend Localization" section, and renamed the positions "Brand Marketing Manager" and "Lead Web Producer" to "Marketing Strategist" and "E-Commerce Web Strategist" respectively in the credits.
- Removed the unused video disclaimer.

Gex: Enter the Gecko Hidden Music File Text#
The music for the port of Gex: Enter the Gecko in the compilation is taken from a PSF rip of the PlayStation version's soundtrack, which was created by Squaresoft74 as suggested in their metadata. There's also some hidden text inside some of the files themselves.
