The Controller Test Cartridge is one of several cartridges once used by Nintendo World Class Service to test and diagnose problems with the SNES and controllers including the Super Scope and Mouse.
This cart contains the earliest software version of the Controller Test program later present in the SNES Burn-In Test Cart and SNES Test Program. Only standard controllers can be tested in this version; connecting other peripherals into Port 1 will display "PLEASE SET CONTROLLER".
