The debut adventure of Alex Kidd sees him traveling through Miracle World as he punches everything in sight and plays rock-paper-scissors with people with hands for heads.
What was originally conceived as a Dragon Ball game5 would end up becoming the first game for one of Sega's earlier mascots, and one of the console's flagship releases, further helped by it becoming a built-in game for Master System (II mainly) consoles in 1990 and onwards.

Revisional Differences#
Starting in 1990, some Master Systems featured a built-in version of the game with a few changes. The International release of this version would be included in the Sega Ages rerelease of the game.
- The original version used 1 to jump and 2 to punch. These were switched for the built-in version, resulting in a more conventional layout.
- Text in the Korean version was translated into Korean.

- The copyright date was updated for the international version.
- The Korean version has a rather bland looking logo compared to the international release. One of the pictures at the bottom of screen was removed to make place for the English title.
