na57j00.srl is the Japanese kiosk demo of Blue Rescue Team included as part of the Nintendo Gigaleak. No other dump of the Japanese demo is currently known to exist.

Build Date#

na57j00.srl includes "pkd ver 1.0 [Oct 19 2005] 19:25:29" as its build date string, which is 12 days after the build date of the original Japanese retail version.

Demo Lockouts#

The lockouts are identical to those found in the English kiosk demo.

• You can only play as Pikachu as the hero, and Charmander as the partner.
• The demo doesn't allow you to choose a name for Pikachu. As a result, the game skips the name input screen.
• Due to the previous reason, Pokémon is the default team name.
• The demo has a 10 minute timer, once it ends it will stop the game.
• Only two dungeons can be explored, those two being Tiny Woods and Thunderwave Cave. Once these two dungeons are completed, the game will end.

Boot Up Differences#

na57j00.srl lacks the attract screen and the seizure warning seen in the English demos, and instead boots to the opening logos.

Title Screen#

The title screen for the demo includes an additional "Demo" graphic.
