This is a sub-page of Proto:Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec.

This demo, officially known as the Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec Demo Disc (commonly referred to as the US Demo since it was the only demo released in North America), falls almost exactly between the Store Demo Volume 1 (compiled about three weeks before this demo) and the OPS2M demo (compiled about three weeks after this demo).

General Differences#

The menu layout is still the same as other demos, however now the options for cars are a Honda Raybrig NSX (returning from the Store Demo Vol. 1), a Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R, and a Honda S2000 (US model).
On the copyright and start screen, the year 2000 is displayed instead of 2001.
This demo is the only one where the in-race music is not an early version of Daiki Kasho's "Mirage", but instead is "Kickstart My Heart" by Motley Crue, used later in the game's North American soundtrack (although this version is uncensored and lacks the intro).
Trial Mountain is the only normally playable track this time around. Although more are featured in this demo's idle replays, the player is unable to drive on any other track unless cheat codes are used.
