Scrapped Tiles#

In the game's source code, several unused tilesets can be found. These have the suffix "ach," while the used ones use the suffix "sch_LZ." It seems that the ach files were what the artists used before they were shrunk to just what ended up being used.

Generation 2 Tilesets#

Field00.c.png Field01.c.png There are two tilesets with the names "Field00.c" and "Field01.c" in the game's source code, and they come from Pokemon Crystal. Their addition date is 2001/04/27, so they're very early. The only change from the Gen 2 tilesets is that the trees have a blue background, possibly to test layering.
