This is a sub-page of Development:Pokémon Red and Blue/Localization.

Worth noting is that the last chunk of the first backup is untranslated, with the remainder of the localized text only added in 2-5-7.txt.

Miscellaneous changes include:

Internally, the apostrophe is represented by the backtick, but here the former is used instead of the latter (fixed in 2-5-2.TXT, 2-5-3.TXT, and an extra instance in 2-5-10.txt).
The message " started sleeping!" erroneously uses a chunk of untranslated text ("は started sleeping!"). Fixed in 2-5-2.TXT.
The message "Coins scattered everywhere!" uses a {gyo3@} instead of a {home@}. Fixed in 2-5-13.txt.
The message "I'm Pewter's Gym Leader!" uses a {home@} instead of a {gyo3@}. Fixed in 2-5-9.txt
The message "Oak: If a wild POKéMON appears" uses a {normal} instead of a {home@}. Fixed in 2-5-14.txt.
Brock's TM explanation text is identical to final, aside from missing its second paragraph skip. Fixed in 2-5-8.txt.
A handful of control character typos were fixed in 2-5-2.TXT, with an extra one fixed in 2-5-8.txt.
