Originally starting life in 1995 as a PC publisher, Take-Two bought them (and sister company Triad) out in 1999 and later became a publishing label for mainly casual games and games based on licensed properties. In the wake of the 2K-Nickelodeon partnership, the brand was folded into 2K and became 2K Play in 2007.
