This is a sub-page of Yo-kai Watch Blasters.

Unlike the previous two localized entries, Yo-kai Watch Blasters had a somewhat more complicated localization this time around, resulting in many, many more problems and inconsistencies during this game's localization.
Lost/Changed in Translation#
Otohime#
A story mission in Chapter 7 has a contest where they get to meet Otohime as the prize. While not explicitly stated if the Otohime is the same Yo-kai that would appear in Yo-kai Watch 3, as the localized name Princess Pearl, the Japanese name spelling is different, where in Yo-kai Watch Blasters it is オト姫 and in Yo-kai Watch 3 onwards, it's 乙姫.
Yo-kai Watch Blasters if#
The mission title Yo-kai Watch Blasters if, is a direct translation from the original Japanese title (妖怪ウォッチバスターズif). The "if" subtitle is a reference to [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/If.... the 1968 movie] of the same name, which has a cult status in Japan, to the point of it being used for several other video games basing off the theme of the source material, or in the case of Yo-kai Watch, for alternate sides or continuities to an extent.
In other media translations, the "if" subtitle is usually dropped, being replaced with more creative subtitles, like Fire Emblem Fates (called Fire Emblem if in the Japanese version) for example. But Yo-kai Watch Blasters is one of the very few games to keep that overlooked Japanese terminology.
Lost In Translation Yo-kai Circle#

|
To do: |
Funnily enough, one of the Yo-kai Circles is called Lost In Translation, where it is comprised of Yo-kai, that were all actually lost in the overall international translation process. In Japanese, the Yo-kai Circle is called Yo-kai-san Irasshai (妖怪さんいらっしゃい), with Yo-kai themed around the circle has the -san honorific in their Japanese names, which their localized names don't have, except for Komasan.
The following list of Yo-kai names in Japanese, compared with their English equilvalent.

Next Movie Spoilers#
In the Moon Rabbit Crew expansion after fighting Robonyan 3000, a short cutscene consisting of Spoilerina and Verygoodsir will play consisting of slight fourth-wall breaking dialogue warning the crew about "spoilers for the next movie".
This was strangely translated despite the missions based on the tie-in movie Lord Enma and The Five Tales, Meow! never receiving foreign releases outside of Asia and Latin America around the time of the game's localized releases.

Blasters House Quotes#
Many quotes said by Yo-kai in the Blasters house have terminologies that got lost in translation.
- Jibanyan's quote in the Blasters House with him and one ally quotes 101st Marriage Proposal, which was said by Jibanyan in the first episode of the anime series in Japanese. The English dub changed it to an Eye of the Tiger reference, but this wasn't done for the game.

To do: |
- Usapyon-B's Japanese design is used in the tutorial images for transferring save files to Moon Rabbit Crew.
- In the KJ music menu, the Lord Enma Summoning chant is mistakenly referred as "Los maleficos" on the top screen, this being the Spanish name for the Wicked Tribe.
- The main protagonist of the series is called "Nate" rather than his full name "Nathan", his name in Spanish language.
