Cheat Menu#
The 1.2 update added a hidden cheat menu which can be accessed when outside of Cyberspace by pausing the game, then holding Ctrl+Tab and clicking on the small triangle in the center of the TriOptimum logo. It also can be activated by left trigger + left bumper + right bumper + clicking in right stick + the button that pulls up MFD.
Using the cheats menu disables achievements, to reenable simply exit to the main menu.
The available options are:
- Enable/Disable God Mode - Toggles invulnerability
- Refill Vitals - Sets both health and energy to maximum. If God Mode is enabled, this only refills energy.
- Destroy CPU Nodes - Destroys all CPU Nodes on the level you are on.
- Destroy Enemies - Destroys all non-Cyberspace enemies on the level you are on.
- Reveal Map - Fills out the entire automap for the current level, including all markers/waypoints.
- Grant Loadout - StarterKit - Refills vitals and gives the following items:
- Weapons: Lead Pipe, TB-05 Sparqbeam Sidearm, KE-41 Minipistol, 2 Frag Grenades
- Ammo: 30 Standard 9MM Rounds
- Hardware: System Analyzer, Multimedia Data Reader, v1 Head-Mounted Vision Unit, v1 Navigation and Mapping Unit, v1 Biological Systems Monitor, v3 Turbo-Motion Boots

Debug Options#
|
File: System Shock debug menu patch.zip (11.3kb) (info) |
The cheat menu has several additional options which are normally disabled in release builds. They can be re-enabled by downloading the above patch and extracting it to [location of game]/SystemShock/Content/Paks/.
The additional options are:
- Enable/Disable Ghost - A version of no-clip that does not allow for height adjustment. Does not work in retail branches.
- Skip SHODAN Arena - Skips to the ending if used during the final battle. Does nothing when used anywhere else.
- Toggle HUD - Hides/shows the entire HUD.
- Set Timescale 1x / 0.05x / 5x Runs the game at normal, very slow, or very fast speed.
- Grant Loadout - Cyber Abilities
- Software: Pulser Combat, I.C.E. Drill, Turbo Dash, 10 Decoy Evasion.
- Grant Loadout - Cyber Items
- Software: 5 Recall Escape, 5 Decoy Evasion.
- Allow CPU Boost - Does not work in retail branches. Was for testing Switch docked versus undocked performance.
- Toggle Music Debugger - Adds an overlay to the screen that presumably corresponds to the dynamic music system. When active, this overlay will block selecting the triangle to reopen cheat menu, but the player can use the controller command to return to the cheat menu and turn it off again.
The bottom of the menu also features the ability to warp to any non-Cyberspace map on Citadel Station, as well as SHODAN's arena. There are two basic exceptions:
- Warping to Storage traps you inside the freight elevator without the ability to open the door until you save and reload the game.
- Warping to SHODAN's arena spawns you in the middle of the void, where you will immediately fall to your death.

Unused Graphics#
Cyberspace#
/Game/Art/Cyberspace/GUI/T_CyberspaceSoftwareIcons contains a total of eight software hotbar icons, three of which are unused. The PDF manual (which was removed from the Steam release in the 1.2 update) lists these as "Cyber Shield", "Damage Multiplier", and "Time", respectively.
A model for the unused shield pickup can also be found at /Game/Cyberspace/Pickups/Assets/CyberShield/SK_CYBR_CyberShield.
A number of other unused HUD elements are also present in /Game/Art/Cyberspace/GUI/. Note that these are just the raw textures, without any effects applied (colorizing, translucency, etc.) like what you'd actually see in game.
T_CyberspacePickUpIcon uses the red and green color channels to store two different icons in a single texture. The corresponding material definitions (in the same directory) are called MAT_CyberspacePickUpIcon_DataLog and MAT_CyberspacePickUpIcon_FunPak.
GamePig#
/Game/Art/MiniGames/TriPet/babypets contains a few leftover baby pet sprites from the cut game TriPets.
Other#
/Game/TOREMOVE/TEXTURES/T_ScreenCamera/FeedLost is a rudimentary texture that was presumably displayed on broadcast camera screens when the camera itself was destroyed. In the final game, doing this makes the screen display static instead.

Sound Effects#
/Game/Sound/Cyberspace/UI/Cyberspace_UI_Timer_CountDown is a sound effect that would have presumably gone with the unused cyberspace timer graphics.
Gamepig Minigames#
/Game/Sound/Minigame/SpaceMinotaur contains sound effects from one of many cut Gamepig Minigames. The only sound effects remaining are from Space Minotaur, although others were teased prior and later cancelled. Cyberspace Logs#
/Sound/VO/AudioLogs/Cyberspace are logs still in the game but in the files they are separate from the level logs. This is because they were originally going to be collected inside Cyberspace but were instead moved to just outside the Cyberspace Terminals. The pick-up for the item is no longer in the files, but an image of it can be seen in the game's manual.
Renamed Logs#
In the files, certain audio logs feature different names that what is in-game. Why they were changed is unknown.
The following are all the logs in question:
- KS-Premiere Station (Originally called KS-A Life Chosen)
- Outages (Originally called Power Outages)
- KS-Chicago (Originally called KS-Leave Chicago)
- Stashed Pack (Originally called Suit Recall)
- Enviro-Packs (Originally called New Enviro-Packs)
- Project Cortex (Originally called Cortex Prototypes)
- I Got Tickets! (Originally called Exec Line)
- Gold Exec-Bots (Originally called How Did He Get a Variant?)
Original Game#
/Game/Sound/VO/Original_Game/ contains almost all of the original game's voiceover audio, most likely to be used as placeholders during development.

Unused Messages#
In addition to the unused voiceover audio above, there are also a number of messages that have subtitle definitions but no audio.
Edward Diego#
/Game/Blueprints/Inventory/Items/Media/DT_MediaEmailTranscriptions contains an unused message from Diego, stored right after the one he sends you when you're making your way to the escape pods.
