Hidden Menu#

At the title screen, press Left, II, Up, II, Right, II, Down, II, Left, I, Up, I, Right, I, Down, I, then press I + II eight times followed by I + Select eight times for a hidden menu containing a Sound Test and difficulty setting.

Expanded Hidden Menu#

Hold Run+Select before powering on the console, then enter the above code to add a screen size toggle and level select to the menu.

The Japanese version features a cinematic intro narrating the events that happened in the first Star Soldier ending with an animated title screen. Rather than translating the intro, as Star Soldier was also released in the US, the intro was completely removed in the US version and instead it boots straight to the title screen plus without animations. Localizers had one job... Lame.
