Constellations#

Constellations in the shape of an apple and a car exist, but are unused. It's also worth mentioning that constellations resembling these are found in Scribblenauts Remix, representing Worlds 3 and 1, respectively.

Female Maxwell#

This unused "Female Maxwell" sprite from the original Scribblenauts exists in this game. However, she still cannot be summoned in-game, and remains unused. In Scribblenauts Unlimited, the evil female clone version of Maxwell resembles her.

MUS_LVL20_SHORE2_BPM120UNUSED#

An incredibly creepy song that doesn't sound like any other in the game. It's actually the song Shore 2 from the first game, using the Minotaur's soundfont.

Regional Differences#

Like in the original, some Konami characters can be summoned via the notepad exclusively in the Japanese version. However, there are no more additions and Solid Snake, Old Snake and Big Boss have been removed for clashing with the game's adjective system. Ebisumaru is also gone for some reason, while Mimi and Nyami use different walking animations. Two other characters have changed significantly:

Pawapuro-kun is angry his Baseball bat got taken away. Or maybe he's upset the Pawapoke series had just ended?

The Vic Viper's cockpit is always open and it now fires missiles straight ahead. The fireball that behaved like the actual missiles from Gradius is gone.

Anti-Piracy#

Watch on YouTubeThe game utilizes the DS Protect anti-piracy library to ensure that it is not being run off a flash cart or emulator.

At startup, if any of the DS Protect checks fail, the game indefinitely loops on the copyright/publisher screens, being unable to progress to the title screen.

If the startup checks are bypassed, the game will still run more DS Protect checks during object creation. If any checks fail, then every object you create will now have random (usually negative) adjectives applied to it, such as "useless", "temporary", "angry", or "explosive". The game will also deliberately crash during gameplay, clearing your save data in the process.

Hidden Easter Eggs#

The game also features a number of well-hidden Easter eggs.

KO DERF#

Watch on YouTubeTyping "KO DERF" into the notepad, attempting to spawn it and exiting the menu will cause the separate pieces of every living creature to rotate wildly, back and forth.

Worth noting is that "KO DERF" is "FRED OK" backwards.
