There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this.
Specifically: Should we do graphics comparisons with the used graphics? Also, there are more graphics to rip.

The NES Super Pitfall is based loosely off Pitfall II: Lost Caverns. In this game, Pitfall Harry must traverse the mazes to find Quickclaw and Rhonda.

Most of those who have played it have criticized its dull gameplay, sluggish frame rate, poor graphics, and really repetitive music.

Regional Differences#

Japan

US

The title screen was updated slightly for the US version: a trademark symbol was added to the logo, Activision's copyright was updated to 1987, the Pony Canyon text was shortened and aligned with the rest of the text, the Pony Canyon logo was moved to the left side of the screen, and a Nintendo of America license was added.

Unused Graphics#

There are some enemy graphics that look similar to their PC-88 counterparts. These are located in an unheadered ROM between 0xA000 and 0xB000, while the bank used during gameplay is between 0x1A000 and 0x1B000. While the bank these are located in is used on the title screen, they are never shown in-game and are overwritten with another bank's graphics. Proper palettes for these also have yet to be confirmed.

Among the early enemy graphics is a spider, which doesn't appear in the final game. There are sprites of it climbing up walls and hanging from the ceiling.

Also present are a few icons never seen in the game, including a pointing hand. It also has icons for when the player found Quickclaw and Rhonda.
