Wait, did someone steal the license for this third and final entry in Jaleco's Super Bases Loaded series? Oh, as in stealing bases. Riiiight.
Debug Mode#
Start the game with Pro Action Replay (PAR) code 8081FB02 (US version 1.0) active to enter the debug mode, which contains a character graphic viewer and sound test.
Pressing Start from here will start a new game with preselected teams, while pressing Reset will proceed to the title screen like normal.
Character Test#
The character test screen is used to view various player graphics. The available options are:
|
Switching DISP MODE from MAN (manual) to AUT (automatic) will play the entire selected animation, then switch back to manual mode.
Sound Test#
The sound test screen contains three options. Use the D-Pad and A to select a new value for each option.
To play music, set "NOTE" to a value of 04 or higher, then set "MUSIC" to 01 to start the music or 02 to stop it. Playing sound effects is more straightforward: just set "SE" to any value to hear the sound effect. The same sound effects are available no matter what "NOTE" is currently set to.

Anti-Piracy#
This game uses the same method of copy protection from its predecessor; writing a value at $700000 and another at $702000, then comparing the values to ensure they are equal and thus that there is exactly 8KB of SRAM. If the test fails, the game will fade in to the above message and hang. This time, the check is done after the Jaleco logo instead of on bootup and is also implemented in the Japanese version.

If the game detects that the SRAM is corrupted, it will show up this screen after the Jaleco logo. Once the A button is pressed, the game continues to the title screen. The American version also lists the type of data that was lost.

Attempting to run the game on a PAL console will display the above message.

Ending#
When you finish the game, the Japanese version has two sets of credits: one that shows a list of the players, and another with the credits. Which one you get depends on the length of the season. For the US version, the credits were removed and instead it shows a photograph of the players celebrating.
