Hidden Modes#
There are two hidden modes in the game.
Suffering Mode#

While in Debug Mode, you can press Q to enter Suffering Mode. Although the "Press Q to enable suffering mode" text is displayed on-screen, most of it is accidentally cut off-screen (i.e. only a small part of it can be seen) after the companion font files are installed.
While in Suffering Mode, the game will break profoundly in various ways, ranging from spawning in multiple Mickeys, absolutely destroying the environment, and flashing in various colours and random graphics. Once it has been enabled, there is no way to escape Suffering Mode other than to die.
Mirror Mode#

To access this, you have to download a game called mouse-trap.exe, which is linked in the game's description on Gamejolt. You have to enter a code into the machine, then click Submit. The code, which can be found out by getting the main game's achievements, is as follows:
789 - Bone
123 - Gravestone
666 - Cigar
204 - Bullet
863 - Heart
777 - Bullet
000 - Bottle
456 - Rose
511 - Fire
Once the correct pictures have been entered and submitted, the main game will change its version number to "1.666," which unlocks a handful of Easter Eggs and secret features. To enter Mirror Mode, go down the manhole under the streetlight on the left side of the street which takes the player into a small underground room containing a bunkbed and a mirror showing an inverted reflection. Interacting with the mirror flips the inversion, cracking the screen and activating "Mirror Mode". The game's graphics will be completely inverted with a light blue, the music will be replaced by a discordant piano tune, and most of the game's text is changed to represent Mickey's thoughts, many of which suggest the game to be set in some form of time loop.

Hidden/Unused Graphics#
Hidden Graphics#

A picture of Mickey holding his head, while strange thoughts surround him. These flash when Mickey falls into the sewer pit at Medium or Low sanity, as well as when Suffering Mode is enabled.
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Felix the Cat, as well as a separate graphic of Oswald blinking. These appear at the Taste of Fire bar once the MOUSE_TRAP ARG has been completed.
A bat and some carved pumpkin heads. These appear scattered throughout the map when playing the game on Halloween.
A Christmas tree. This appears in Mickey's home when playing the game anytime from December 24th to December 31st.
An earlier version of Mickey's living room. This was used in Version 1.2. Note the moon shown in the painting, which was replaced with a picture of Pluto in Version 1.5.
An even earlier version of Mickey's house. This was used in Version 1.0, where it was just one screen rather than two.
An earlier version of the library. This was used in Versions 1.0 and 1.2.
An old version of a sprite of Markus from the Friday Night Funkin mod Vs Mouse, edited to have an Among Us visor on. This has a 1 in 10,000 chance of appearing for a split second when you launch the game.

The game’s developer, Pnod. This appears when you press X while in Debug Mode, in reference to a similar Easter Egg in the original Suicide Mouse game. Pressing any key once this picture has appeared will take the player to the game's original title screen, which was replaced in Version 1.5 but is still buried in the game's data, although the Help and Credits section was replaced with some completely different secret text.

A sprite of Mickey from the original Suicide Mouse game. To see this, you have to get to the original title screen, as described right above, and hold the "O" and "G" keys at the same time.

A broken heart. Unsure what this was used for, probably a test sprite.
Hidden Music & Sounds#
shUP.wav This can be heard while jumping into the surface hole at or hanging yourself in the forest at low sanity.
hsc.wav The Sam TTS robot saying "Have some candy!" This will play when knocking on any doors if your computer's date is set to Halloween.
Unused Track#
Partially Unused Sound#
endlessboofing.wav
Unused Music & Sounds#
Strangemouse.mp3 A track which can only be heard in the soundtrack for the game on the Gamejolt page. It should be noted the part near the end of the track is also used in Strangedream.mp3.

HellChase2.wav There is a similar song in the file called HellChase1.wav. This version has a larger filesize, but doesn't sound any different.
fsn.wav Fire being lit.
Louder Screams.wav Self-explanatory.
Warning Screen Easter Egg#
If you stay on the Warning screen for over a minute without doing anything, then eventually, there's a chance the game will begin playing play a song called "Livin' In The Sunlight, Lovin' In The Moonlight," and some little Mickey heads will appear and begin bouncing around the screen.

Additionally, there is an additional secret in this version, which cannot be found in the regular version of the game. If the player falls into the pit in the center of the sewers at medium or low sanity and holds the T key throughout the entire sequence, then they will not explode at the end. After a message remarking their predicament pops up, they can press the F key to be taken to a secret screen, where Mickey is being held in Lucifer's hand, from which Mickey cannot escape, while some loud music plays. After a few seconds, the player gets sent back to an altered version of the Warning screen.

Optimized Edition 2#
Released on November 10th 2023, 02:11:05(local time) by Pnod. This version's filesize is smaller than the first Optimized(Chromebook) Edition but the graphics look no different between them. They have same features in game, same file version(v1.5.4) and same file icon.
smroptimizededition#
The filesize of this version is slightly bigger than Version 2 but smaller than Version 1, and the file version is v1.5.4 too.
Russian Version#
An unofficial translated mod of v1.5.3 released on January 23rd 2024, by @Timofey_Rusanov on Gamejolt. This changes most of the game's text into Russian.
- Differences:
- The Russian version's filesize is bigger than the original version.
- The "Press Q to enable suffering mode" text can now be fully displayed on-screen.
- Known bugs:
- Some strings weren't changed to Russian and are still English(For example the title of the game).
- Certain graphics are displayed incorrectly, ranging from having a minor error to covering the entire screen by accident. This was likely caused by transparency issues which can appear when using certain Clickteam decompilers.
- Mirror Mode doesn't work like in the original version; it is just a black screen with the mirror cracks in it. This version's developer doesn't know how to fix this.
- Mickey is not on the title screen, as he is instead completely covered by static. Additionally, the static sound effect never stops playing.
- The clouds above the street appear thicker than they are supposed to be.

Simplified Chinese Version#
Released on February 4th 2026, it's a re-edited and translated independent version of v1.5.4 by @FutureCopperBedbug and @heavytheV on Gamejolt. It changes most of the game's text(including parts of the graphics with text) into Simplified Chinese. A significant difference between this version and the Russian Version is that it includes the original code provided by the original developer(Pnod).
- Differences:
- The Simplified Chinese version's filesize is bigger than the original version.
- Known bugs:
- Some strings weren't changed to Simplified Chinese and are still English(For example the Debug Mode texts).

The game's developer, who lives in Romania, released the game a little after midnight in his timezone, which means that the game came out on January 21st in his timezone, but on January 20th on any timezone to the West of Romania, which includes America, the UK, and most of Europe. As such, he personally has been using January 21st to mark the game's anniversaries.
