Xbox 360#
The Xbox 360 port of the game was released on October 17, 2012 on Xbox Live Arcade. The game had an unusual release due to the Xbox Live Arcade's technically restrained 2GB file size limit. The main game (including cooperative play) and the Jewel of the Nile DLC (including versus multiplayer) were released separately for 1200 Microsoft Points each.
- The Devastator Scope is included in the base game by default.
- There are 20 achievements for the base game, 5 with the DLC.
- There are 5 Multiplayer maps: Little Trouble, Shotty Trouble, Slumoner, Courtyards of Death, and Little Trouble (CTF)
- There are only 2 survival maps: Death Canyon and Deserted
- Textures have been heavily compressed. This is most noticeable on multiplayer playermodels and background assets.
- The skybox in Under The Iron Cloud has been changed to be around evening.
- The Brett Sanderson playermodel uses a lower-poly mesh.
- The Santa Sam playermodel uses a lower-poly mesh.
- The Rich Knuckles playermodel uses a lower-poly face mesh.
- The fire axe in the Jewel of the Nile DLC was replaced with a sledgehammer, specifically the variant obtained by the player in The Lost Temples of Nubia.
- The game is missing colour customisation options.
- The frame rate is uncapped, unlike Serious Sam HD The First & Second Encounters on XBLA, which are capped at 30FPS. Despite this, the frame rate usually runs at 30FPS or below. The game can actually go as high as 130FPS, but this only occurs if you go out of bounds and stare into the empty abyss, or during Under The Iron Cloud's outro cutscene when the camera pans onto the Sphinx.
- Per requirements from XBLA, there is a How to Play section in the main menu. The text is copied from Serious Sam HD TFE & TSE. This same menu is also present in Serious Sam Fusion 2017, and Serious Sam Collection on Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
- Much like The Second Encounter HD's XBLA release, cheats can be activated by holding both triggers and pressing both bumpers 6 times.
- Level information on the select screen doesn't display and stays on the edge of the screen.
- Staring upwards causes reloading and firing sound effects to degrade in quality significantly.
- The Serious Sam Collection version released in July 2013 has issues loading textures in various levels.
- Summer in Cairo, during the end of the cutscene and start of the level.
- Under the Iron Cloud after the bridge destruction.
- The Silent Riddler, at the city after the slums section.
- Born Again, at the city section in-between the military base.
- The "Auto" option for subtitles is non-functional. This also applies to the PS3 port.
- Loading times in The Serious Sam Collection version are extremely long, taking at most 2 minutes on larger levels. Using chapter select with the cheat menu also displays a black screen for a few seconds before teleporting the player.
- There is an option in the "Advanced options" to display the frame rate.
- Like HD on Xbox, there is a Demo Episode, containing a version of the Broken Wings chapter with modified enemy spawns and the player starting in-front of the museum instead of on the road beneath.
- Attempting to load Jewel of the Nile save files without the DLC installed displays a unique error message.
- Starting the game with the DLC installed on the Memory Unit displays a unique error message.
- The achievements menu in-game, without having the DLC installed, displays 19 achievements instead of 20, missing the "Maintenance Time" achievement from the list.
- The Serious Sam Collection Disc Version freezes whenever an achievement is unlocked.
- The list of playermodels without the DLC installed is the same as Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounters's Xbox 360 port, with the only female playermodels being Serious Sammy and Santa Sammy. The DLC adds: Hellfire, Wytee William, Rich Knuckles, Cobalt Cinderella, Green Greta, Cocoa Carla, Meesterious Mia, Canned Cain, Brett Sanderson, Fork Parker, Miller, Dark Delilah, Jones, Karate Ken, Rodriguez, Wilson, and Vegetable Vaughn. Unusually, the cut Zorg playermodels from the original 2011 Steam version are included, albeit Commander Cliff (the blue one) uses Skinless Stan's (the red one) model and description, with the Zorg Commander Model (the blue one) being absent as a result. This was fixed in the Serious Sam Fusion 2017 version, although that version uses the Classic textures for Commander Cliff and not HD's.
PS3#
The PS3 version was released on May 13, 2014 and it is infamous, featuring heavy graphics downgrades, poor framerates, and many bugs. A patch was released in 2015 to fix some of these issues.
- Jewel of the Nile is included by default
- The game only allots 4 save slots, and you cannot rename your save games.
- There are only 40 trophies.
- The game is a port of the PC Version instead of the Xbox 360 version, meaning the game has the additional survival maps.
- The graphics are comparable to the PC on low settings. There are almost no shadows present.
- The trophy "The doorman should wear a suit" was bugged on release. A patch fixed this.
- Some of the Ancient Egyptian Tablets were unreadable or hard to do so on release. A patch fixed this.
- Preliminary melee finishers from Serious Sam 4's development are present in the game files, unused.
- Using the Give All cheat will grant you the Fire Axe from Jewel of the Nile DLC, no matter what level of the game you are in.
- The difficulty screenshot from the How To Play menu was remade to show PlayStation button gylphs.
- Jumping to the ChapterInfo_EndLevel chapter in The Guardian of Time using the cheat menu causes you to fall under the map.
- Jumping to the ChapterInfo_EndLevel chapter in Under The Iron Cloud using the cheat menu causes you to fall under the map & respawn at the car, unable to move.
- The playermodel list is the same as the XBLA release without DLC. However, since the PS3 port did not have additional DLC released, any additional playermodels are absent.
