This is a sub-page of SOS (SNES).
This sub-page hosts unused event dialogue across four main characters.
Credit goes to StarBlob2 for highlighting the Chelmerson event, and angel p_57 for dumping Japanese game text and giving extensive data analysis, including unused data and unlinked events.

0x7e0380 to 0x7e038F will call the passengers "Woah", "Bombed directly?", "Woh" lines following the capsize of the ship. Then it'll call the protagonist's starter text when the ship is overturned, and it appears that over time the game should have called in string bytes based off of your actions, the area you've entered, the passengers you're leading, and the time remaining. The protagonist and passengers would've reacted every time there is a shake and a turn, hint of survivors, criticism of the player, flood warnings and victory speeches when the boiler room explodes. While there's a few times where the protagonist can comment on a death of a passenger when nearby (the infamous "I feel terrible" line from Luke Haines' route for example) and certain survivors trying to reach out from the previous room you were in, nothing else comes of it.
The overseas version translated many of these unused messages, though they stop after individual victory speeches. Trying to display the text plays all of the chunk messages in one go, eventually looping into untranslated garbage text with an eventual game crash. In the Japanese version, there is no garbage text, but it will play out until the aforementioned crash. Also, a bug is present where passengers can override low stamina messages with the unused text by spamming the L or R button frequently. Kleiver Mathews is not programmed to print out a reaction. Interestingly, exclusive characters can respond in routes they don't appear in.
All of 0x7e0380~8F is set to 00 after 33 minutes and is never used again. If the player enables a cheatcode 7e038005 during the explosion image screen, a constant noise is heard. It does not stop until they switch rooms.

Characters#
Chelmerson#
A scrapped character who would play out as a trap survivor, eventually taking your recruits away as he believes waiting for a rescue team is better than roaming around. He is capable of taking Harry Adams away from Redwin Gardner and Stella Adams, though their walking animation freezes midway. Luke Heinz can recruit him, but he is not programmed to follow the player. In Luke's route, the dialogue alludes to an unfinished event where Chelmerson would lead you into the main hall akin to how Jimmy Akers guides you to the cabin where Alan and Stack are hiding.
There's fully fleshed dialogue across all four main characters. Had the character been implemented it would be one extra obstacle towards Redwin Gardner's S-rank ending, as Harry Adams is one of three mandatory passengers you must rescue to achieve this ending.

Jimmy Akers#
You can cross paths with Jimmy Akers who is looking for ways to help his injured friends, Alan Gebres and Stack. The main character of choice can persuade him to join you. Should the player go to the crew cabin there's a special interaction between Alan, the protagonist and Akers. Depending on your choices you may save both, lose both, or leave Alan behind.
An extra, unused event exists where Alan and Stack disappear when Akers returns to the crew cabin room in the Redwin Gardner route. When enabled by modifying (JP)80b82fː6f or (USA)0x80b43ː6f with Akers present in the cabin he'll be shocked by their absence. The message chunk gets stuck on the first string byte due to being disabled by default. A full dialogue can be found internally.

Unnamed Waiter#
A character with the graphical ID(5) lays unconscious by the gallery when playing as Capris. The game opens an event that can never start as it treats the waiter as deceased. When viewing this event playing as Redwin Gardner, a series of empty messages plays out along with scripted crouching. Unfortunately, there's no successful rescue.
To see this event, re-enter the gallery after applying the following cheatcodeː 80B827:0f (JP) / 80B83B:0f (USA)
- Only works with Redwin.
Boiler Room#
The player must escape through the boiler room within one hour to clear the game. In regular gameplay there is no restriction on when you can enter, and you can decide to leave everyone behind to save yourself if you know the layout of Lady Crithania. Doing so grants you the worst ending, though it is one way to the finish line.
Deep within the Japanese version, an unused event across four main characters exists where crewmates would refuse early entry into the boiler room while it was still intact. The scrapped event was likely made in mind to encourage players to explore the ship for passengers before the boiler room exploded. Had the idea conceptualized, the player would have needed to wait 33 minutes for the explosion to progress. The overseas version translated this event to near completion, but due to circumstances where the chunk message gets stuck after the first string byte it cannot be displayed properly on some routes.

Unused Game Over Transition#
While not categorized as an event, there's an unused script in an unknown chunk message that'll instantly kill the protagonist of choice in the Upper Deck with a red, pink or blue effect that persists over to the game over screen. Can only be seen in the Japanese version. In the English version this transition is not present. Instead, the values from 40 to 8f varies between hang ups, crashes, and other glitchy effects. When enabling the cheat code 7e0417ː60 as Capris Wisher in the Middle Deck amidst untranslated garbage text, two particular text is rendered to the screenː "Capris Text end" and "Amy OB". Capris is then animation locked as the game attempts to redo the prologue event, hanging the game in the process.
