Redfall

This article has a talk page!

This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
Notes: Could be formatted better; wording could be A LOT better.

Redfall is an FPS that was released to... less than favorable reviews.

Soul Remnants#

Soul Remnants showed up briefly in one of the earlier trailers for the game.

Rev Eva Tutorial#

"D1_Eva_SoulRemnants_Title": "Soul Remnants",
"D1_Eva_SoulRemnants_Text": "I got another one for you. But this one's different. It's not just blood that's different now. Some of these are just keepsakes. It's like whatever the vampires did to warp reality, they also left a piece of their psyche behind in these objects. Whatever's going on, maybe you can use it to hurt the bastards. \r\n\r\n-Rev Eva",

Alongside the strings for mission readables is this tutorial note introducing Soul Remnants. The wording seems to imply they would be accessible at some point after Blood Remnants.

Names of the Soul Remnants above but for a potential tiering system, as well as a base description for Soul Remnants. Notably, the Vampire God Remnants for Bloody Tom, Miss Whisper, and the Black Sun are among these strings.

Soul Remnant Icons#

To do:
add unused empty inventory slot icon

(Source: doc)

These are likely the icons for Soul Remnants. They're stored alongside Vampire God Remnants and Blood Remnant icons. Interestingly, the icons for the Old Coin and Rabbit's Foot are completely different from the other icons, both being larger and being named differently from the other icons. Oddly, however, the icon for the Keychain is completely missing.

Titles and descriptions of traits likely for Soul Remnants. Less descriptive than the set above.

Mementos#

This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: Mementos would've seemingly had their own UI tab and blueprints for it seem fairly intact. Can it be restored to any amount?

A number of Soul Remnant files reference Mementos, so it's likely that at one point they were the same thing. They've seemingly been split off, however, evidenced by the above string.

Level Up UI Sounds
As it sounds. Two variations of a level up UI sound.

"Memento" Quests#

In the files, there's leftovers of a couple quests for something called Mementos. Within these files you can find the names of the quests.

This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: Connie seems to have matching dialogue for each of these in the subtitle strings. Does she tell these stories in-game at all? If not, chuck them here and upload audio for them.

Looking at the length of it you can really see why it was called Connie_Tour. Seemingly much more complete than Jacob's questline. Likely related to one of the major NPCs in the second district, Constance Ward, who is referred to by many charcters as Connie.

To do:
Connie's VO in text, if someone is able to please put these here and extract the VO. Thanks.

Doom Beacon mission strings. Notably similar to a few main missions.

Elder Rook#

This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.

Unused Elder Rook in game files. Seems fairly complete, with attack animations, a model, and so on.

(Source: doc)

Personal Room#

To do:
Add. need to add tags, audio. Apparently icons exist too.

Some sort of unused room decoration feature. Likely to do with safehouses. There's also a voice line for each hero to do with doing a chore related to this feature.
