A French developer from Lyon best known for their many games inspired by the works of the late Looking Glass Studios, such as the Dishonored series. They were acquired by Bethesda Softworks parent ZeniMax Media in August 2010.
Besides the Lyon office, Arkane had also operated a US-based studio in Austin, Texas aptly named Arkane Austin, which developed 2017's Prey and 2023's Redfall. The financial and critical disappointment of the later game would lead to the closure of Arkane Austin (along with three other ZeniMax-owned studios) on May 7th, 2024.
