ParaParaParadise 1stMIX PLUS introduced some of the hardest charts in the series, at the cost of the background animation budget.
Unused Graphics#
The following graphics are found between the background animation sprites of the song ROMEO & JULIET, but are not displayed.
BGPLUS/ROMEO2/1.GCZ
Although most of the sprites in this sheet are used, these three hearts are not called by the folder's animation file.
BGPLUS/ROMEO5/1.GCZ
This one is particularly interesting, as the file itself is completely unused, uncalled by the folder's animation file. It depicts an earlier version of the song's ending animation, without an overlaying mist layer.

Songs#
Songs from ParaParaDancing are referenced in several of the game's graphics and even in the main executable, HIKARU.EXE. Their charts and difficulty ratings are also intact, although music data is not present. Interestingly, their titles appear translated.

Other Unused Graphic#
This graphic is a leftover from the original ParaParaParadise 's Enjoy Mode; it would be displayed during gameplay if this mode was selected.

Burn Date#
A burn date can be found as the title of the game's program disc:
VOL_20001229091253
Security String#
The file gqa11-ja contains a set of security strings, the last of which forms the message:
MoDe:SeRViCe/PRoGRaMeD BY USR01979(HaJiMe SaiTo)
This string is present in most Konami Firebeat games, and refers to Hajime Saito, who worked as a programmer at the time.
