Namco Museum Vol. 2

To do:
The NA version may still have remnants of the JP-exclusive Cutie Q and Bomb Bee games, including files and dates. Check the PAL version for any remnants also.

Namco Museum Vol. 2 is the second volume in the Namco Museum series for the PlayStation. Although the same virtual museum from the previous title is used as a base, it has been revamped with some new textures and many new game rooms. Six or seven new games are featured, depending on the region.

Gaplus High-Score Codes#

The high-score codes from Gaplus still exist, although the secret message removes all the stars, leaving the text.

Unused Graphics#

To do:
Tons of leftovers in slideshow, museum, etc TIP files. Mostly boring Vol.1 carryovers though.

In the Japan-exclusive Cutie Q game room, an unused texture for the video screen can be found in MUSEUM\CQ.TIP at index 23.

Regional Differences#

While Mappy, Dragon Buster, Xevious, Gaplus, and Grobda can be found in all releases, Cutie Q and Bomb Bee are exclusive to the Japanese release, with Super Pac-Man being exclusive to international releases.

In the international release, Super Pac-Man takes Cutie Q's spot in the virtual museum mode. They share the same hallways, but feature different displays:

The game rooms, on the other hand, are entirely distinct from each other. Cutie Q's game room resembles the main screen of its game, while the Super Pac-Man game room is a bar which features a stage show played every 60 seconds.
