Lumines Remastered

Lumines Remastered is yet another remake of the first game in the series, now borrowing several gameplay features from Lumines II and Lumines: Electronic Symphony. The Shinin‍ ' saga is truly endless.

Unused Graphic#

Within efdistortion.bytes is an unused texture labeled Tx_Dummy_01, which consists of an illustration of Paccho and Den-paccho, which are both mascots for Tokyo Gas. Given the texture's name, it's a placeholder.

Unseen Background Colors#

Several skins have background color changes which go unseen due to videos or other elements completely covering them. For the most part, they seem to be the same as the ones used in the original Lumines: Puzzle Fusion. Natively, the color values are divided by 255.

Revisional Differences#

The patch differences apply to the Windows and console releases of the game.

  • The audio mix in certain skins was improved, and the overall audio volume range was expanded from 4 level settings to 8.
  • Fixed a bug in which high score/ranking information was not displayed.
  • Fixed an unspecified issue that happened when the Borderless Window option is toggled.
  • Other minor performance improvements and bug fixes.

Patch 1.02 (July 13, 2018)#

  • Added a "Background motion ON/OFF" setting, which toggles the background movement during gameplay.
  • Fixed a bug in the Puzzle No. 097 "LOVE" in which the blocks would not clear.
  • The block design in the skin SPIRITS was adjusted to be colorblind friendly. The blocks themselves were also tweaked, now having rounder edges.

v1.01 and prior

v1.02 onwards

Patch 1.03 (July 20, 2018)#

  • Fixed an unspecified issue in Mission 20.
  • Unspecified performance improvements and bug fixes.

Patch 1.04 (August 31, 2018)#

Mobile Ports#

Android and iOS ports of the game were released on July 29, 2026. Notable changes compared to previous versions are listed as follows:

  • The mobile ports are trialware, being free to download with only Challenge (up to Level 15, meaning the first three skins) and 60sec Time Attack modes being available by default; the player is prompted to purchase the full version to unlock the other contents.
  • Challenge campaigns can now be saved mid-session.
