Kung Fu Panda 2 (Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)

A mindless beat-em-up game set after the events of the movie.

Unused Graphics#

The film was known as Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom during production. menu_start_i9.tga features an early logo for the game that matches this title accordingly.

Milestone#

start_i13.tga is a milestone timestamp leftover from an earlier build of the game.

Prompts#

Cheap looking "prompts" that were also probably from an earlier build. The "Choose! Fight Stance" has chunks around the letters.

Scaleform Test#

hud_scaleformtest_i1.dds, a "scaleform" test. This image can be found in several of Griptonite Games's other games.

Unused Text#

changelist.tmp#

In the rso folder there's a file called changelist.tmp. It has build information of the game.

The fxplayer folder has a .txt file called gfxlicense.txt. It has the game's license key for Scaleform GFx.

Test Level#

Careful, you'll lose an eye.

This page or section needs more images.
There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this.
Specifically: Pictures of this level?

This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: Is there even anyway to access this level?

Throughout the files of the game are several files for z_test_levels, which is obviously a test level.

Version Differences#

  • All three versions of the game have completely different control schemes. The Xbox 360 version uses the Kinect, Wii uses THQ's uDraw tablet, and the PlayStation 3 opts for a standard control scheme with the DualShock 3/Sixaxis.
