Ichou no Mau Koro 2 is the sequel to the cult classic Ichou no Mau Koro. After losing the swimming tournament in high school, Yusuke Akiyama ends up becoming depressed and begins to regret life. This changes however once he joins other clubs and bonds with certain characters based on his decisions throughout the story.
Despite being numbered like a sequel, this title is a reboot and pretends that the previous entry never happened. Thus, Yusuke Akiyama does not recognize Ayase Kyouko anymore and the other characters were replaced with completely new ones. The scenario writer Hayashi Fumito was also replaced with a new writer, Inazaki. As a result, the game's writing is seen as bit of a downgrade from Ichou no Mau Koro among fans.
However unfortunately, this ended up being the final entry in the series and the last thing Types would ever make, as they would be fully absorbed into the company Loze soon after.
