Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock is the final full band game in the Guitar Hero series, and the final one before the release of the Guitar Hero Live reboot, as a result of weak sales and the oversaturation of the rhythm game market.
The main addition is a story mode that certainly doesn't borrow heavily from Brütal Legend, narrated by Gene Simmons of KISS fame, where you must recruit eight characters where you must rescue the Demigod of Rock from a mechanized antagonist known as the Beast.

Unused Graphics#
The Quickplay+ menu had different icons for the various games that could be exported into Warriors of Rock. As Guitar Hero: Van Halen was never exportable, this icon goes unused. Given that it's just the Guitar Hero: Metallica logo but with a V instead of an M, this is more than likely a placeholder.
Regional Differences#
In Europe and Australia, the game Guitar Hero: Smash Hits was known as Greatest Hits. To reflect this, the game is labelled as such and has a different Quickplay+ logo in Warriors of Rock.
