revatr

  • While this item is equipped: During combat—
    • User has weapon triangle advantage over foe weapon types against which the user's weapon type would normally have weapon triangle disadvantage
    • User has weapon triangle disadvantage against foe weapon types against which the user's weapon type would normally have weapon triangle advantage

Left over from Path of Radiance, where it was also unused, is this fully functional implementation of the "reaver" effect from the GBA games. Its presence in Radiant Dawn, unused and disembodied as it is, was the last time the "reaver" effect was at all present in any Fire Emblem game until Engage, sixteen years later.

magsw

Leftover from Path of Radiance's runesword and sonic sword.

sealcrit

  • While this item is equipped: Foe is unable to inflict critical hits, unless they have Wrath and are in Wrath's trigger range.

A Path of Radiance leftover.

sfxseal

No longer functional?

In Path of Radiance, this was the Full Guard-exclusive attribute that rendered its users immune to all weapon effectiveness damage bonuses. Why it no longer appears functional is unclear — while the syntax for flagging unit types did change between Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, even if the game is modded to apply Path of Radiance-style unit types to classes and weapons, sfxseal still has no effect despite the game otherwise accepting them as valid for causing weapon effectiveness.

For the record, Radiant Dawn's unused Full Guard leftover doesn't actually have this attribute; in its place is the kanji string 特効封印 ("Seal Effectiveness") which, while it obviously describes sfxseal's effect, is not a valid attribute string.

skysfxseal

No longer functional?

Also unused in Path of Radiance, where it would have protected units against anti-flier weapon effectiveness. Same issues as sfxseal.

lycsfxseal

No longer functional?

In Path of Radiance, this was the Beorcguard-exclusive attribute that rendered its users immune to anti-laguz weapon effectiveness. Again, ditto sfxseal's issues.

As with sfxseal and the unused Full Guard, this attribute is not actually assigned to Radiant Dawn's unused Beorcguard item. Instead, it also has a descriptive Japanese string that is not a valid item attribute string, ラグズ特効封印 ("Seal Laguz Effectiveness").

heroonly

  • This item is usable only by units who have the SID_HERO skill.

Left over from Path of Radiance, where this was how the weapon locks for Ike's two Prf weapons (the Regal Sword and Ragnell) were managed. Since multiple different units have SID_HERO at some point over the course of Radiant Dawn, though, this tactic wouldn't have worked as cleanly this time around, so Ike's Prf weapon locks are now dependent on the skill SID_EQA and the corresponding eqa property.

blackonly

  • This item is usable only by units whose class has the internal JobID label JID_BKNIGHT.

Another Path of Radiance weapon lock leftover, this time for the Black Knight and Alondite. In that game, this attribute locks items to the Black Knight's unique variant of the General class (JID_BKNIGHT). The attribute has not been updated for Radiant Dawn and still targets that same JobID label... the problem being that no class by that label exists in the game anymore. (For the record, the Black Knight's eponymous new class is labeled JID_DARKKNIGHT, so it does not pass the check.) If the game is modded to implement a class labeled JID_BKNIGHT, though, the attribute is still fully functional.

It's all a moot point, anyway, since Alondite is no longer a Prf weapon at all.

shootonly

  • This item is usable only by units who have the SID_SHOOT skill.

Another leftover Path of Radiance weapon locker; it was used to lock Longbows and the Double Bow to the Archer and Sniper classes. Radiant Dawn doesn't bother with any lock at all to these weapons (or in the Longbow's case, its iron/steel/silver spinoffs).

eqrevA

  • This item is unusable by units who have the SID_EQ_REVA skill.

One last weapon lock attribute leftover from Path of Radiance, where it was used to prevent Reyson (and for some reason, Ashnard...) from equipping the Demi Band. That item's replacement, the Wildheart skill, instead takes advantage of the learn conditions in-built into skill data to exclude Reyson (and Rafiel and Leanne) from equipping it, without needing a similar middleman.

weakA

  • While this weapon is equipped: User is able to inflict damage on foes who have the SID_WEAK_A skill.

In Path of Radiance, this attribute and the corresponding skill are how Ashnard and the Black Knight's "blessed armor" effect functioned: the attribute — applied to Tibarn and Naesala's unique Beaks, Giffca's unique Claw, both Breaths, and Ragnell — is how they bypass the "blessed armor" effect (i.e. SID_WEAK_A). Radiant Dawn instead uses the visible Mantle skill and Yune's blessing buff to achieve the same effect.
