Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse is a simple shoot 'em up game based on the animated series, the first in nearly six years. Just like the show, it has crass jokes, reused lines from the show, local multiplayer and a story mode featuring the dynamic duo of a baby and a talking dog. It uses the same engine as Heavy Iron's previous seventh generation games.

The game was met with a poor critical reception and was removed from the digital storefronts just two years after release due to development issues. Oh, well. At least they got to bring Adam West to E3.

To do:
Document the game's troubled development. It started out as a third-person zombie shooter called Family Guy: Road to Death, but was reworked due to Seth MacFarlane's disapproval. Unused zombie sound leftovers from the Road to Death era.

Unused Audio#

Test Audio#

There's a snippet from the Season 7 episode "Road to Germany" near the beginning of the DIALs_00.fsb archive in the Media\En_US folder.

There's also a snippet from the Season 8 episode "Road to the Multiverse" in the end of the DIALs_00.fsb archive, albeit a bit compressed.

Placeholder Intro Audio#

This is an early version of the opening scene, with placeholder audio recorded by the developers before Seth MacFarlane and Wallace Shawn recorded these lines for their characters. Found in the DIALs_00.fsb archive in the Media\En_US folder.

Similarly, in the DIALs_01.fsb archive there are a multitude of unfiltered unused lines for Bruce, using placeholder audio by the developers. Other than DIA_AMXX_s4_BRUCE_05, these lines were not redone by Bruce's voice actor, Mike Henry, and Bruce was replaced with Seamus in the final version of the pirate level. Notably, most of these are for the pirate level (PTXX).
