Drakengard 3

To do:

Drakengard 3 is the final game in the Drakengard trilogy, and a prequel to the original game (which isn't made clear unless you read the novel adaptation). It received a somewhat mixed reception, with praise for the writing and action-RPG gameplay but criticism for laggy performance on PS3 hardware, mainly due to the poor optimization of Unreal Engine 3.

Unused Graphics#

Early HUD#

HUD 01

HUD 02

HUD_TXT_SF.XXX contains two unused graphics featuring a early version of the HUD. Interestingly, it features an early concept of Zero when she had pink hair, and the gauge for Intoner Mode originally was more stylish-looking.

Placeholder Tutorial Screens#

HUDTEST_SF.XXX has several placeholder versions of the tutorial screens used in the final game, many of which feature either the early HUD, unfinished locations, or models not being rendered properly.

Debugging Material#

Debug Menu#

This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: Look into more the debug menu and give a more detailed description for what you can do with it.

By name swapping DEBUGTITLE.XXX and TITLE.XXX, you can access a debug menu at startup. You can change character levels, weapons, and even the current location.

Unused Music#

Shadowlord's Castle#

BGM_TEST00_090_CASTLE_RYTHM_CMP_LOOP_SCD

BGM_TEST00_090_CASTLE_VOCAL_CMP_LOOP_SCD

Within the COOKEDSOUND folder, there are four unused music tracks from NieR, from the roar version of Shadowlord's Castle. More than likely, these are development placeholders.

Early Final Song#

MUSIC_OTOGE_TEST_SCD features a song with a very simple beat that increases in speed before eventually slowing down. Closer inspection reveals that this is a very early rendition of the Final Song, used for testing purposes, as its file name suggests.
