Crushed In Time is a point-and-cli... uhhh... stretch-and-pull game, where we follow the confident Sherlock Holmes and the courageous Dr. Watson to solve a mystery that will take us on a journey through space and time. Schboing!

Keys required for the hint system#
The game was originally meant to have some hints locked behind the key-collection system. Player would have had to find and collect keys during the playthrough, which then they can spend them, to unlock certain hints.
This is indicated by two unused texts, still left in the game's localization file. Also, the object group related to the hint screen, contains an unused set of objects, related to the early hint system, stored under the group name TOREMOVE_Counter.

Unused Graphics#
Chapter 3#
Game&Watch2.png
Picture of Game&Watch console (with the CHEF game), which was used either as a placeholder or as a reference for an in-game version of that console called Watch&Play.
===Chapter 6=== Unused set of various pencil scribbles, meant for Emmett's flashback sequence - probably as an overlay effect.
===Chapter 8=== Unused set of generic-looking assets meant for the coffin lock puzzle.
===Miscellaneous===
Floppy_save_0.png - Floppy_save_7.png
An unused save icon, taken from There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension
IconMagnifyingGlassHint.png
An unused cursor, that would most likely appear on the hint screen.
HintKey.png
A key icon, related to an early hint system.
MagnifyingGlassHint.png
A magnifying glass icon, related in some way to the hints. Given, how the name is similar to another unused image called IconMagnifyingGlassHint, this might be an even earlier design for the unused hint cursor icon.
Unused set of assets related to the achievements. Currently, the game only support achievements via Steam.
Font_Texture.png
Unused atlas of the "A Big 'Ol Loveable Bug" font - a font, which was previously used in There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension.
Tuto_Pad_Capture_000000_0.png - Tuto_Pad_Capture_000189_0.png
An image sequence of what appears to be an unused interaction tutorial with Sherlock Holmes and a generic cube being the main cast of it.
(All 190 pngs have been converted to a following video, to showcase the full result. Check The Spriters Resource to see each frame individually.)
Texture2D.png
An info card with logos of FMod (that the game uses) and CNC (Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée). It also contains a french text, that translates to "This game is a demo, blah blah"
tx_Cover.png
Possibly a temporary title screen used for the game's Gamescom presentation demo.

Unused Models#
Chapter 1#
"Meta Mystery"#
An unused model of the game's logo with its project name. As confirmed by one of the developers, the project was originally called "Meta Mysteries: Crushed In Time", however they ultimately dropped the "Meta Mysteries" from it.
Given its texture name, it seems like this model was originally in place of the game's logo, that we can topple on the Country Road and make it fall to the ground.

===Chapter 3===
Hidden Game&Watch#
In the room, present when playing the "Watch&Play" minigame, there is an unused object, hidden behind the view, called TOREMOVE_Game&Watch. This is a simple plain surface, with a texture Game&Watch2 and two cylinders sticking out of it, acting as the console buttons. Given the object name, this was meant to be removed from the final game.
===Chapter 4===
Tree hole#
In the room, immidating the manor's exterior, the tree has an unused model of a "cork"-like object, that's in its hole. This means, that originally the player most likely had to remove it, as part of solving the puzzle in this room.
===Chapter 7===
Bathroom Floor#
The maze minigame (during the Temporal Chaos) contains an unused bathroom-themed floor placed underneath it.
It uses a texture be_ChaosTemporel_Game1_Ground_diffuse, which - although looks like a copy of a texture be_ManorBathroomM_diffuse (used in Chapter 2, for the bathroom in manor) - is actually a slightly modified version of that texture.

Music#
Chap03_StreetTheme
This track is called "Baker Street" and it originates from There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension.
It's placed amongst the sounds used in London, which means that it was most likely used as a placeholder track for that place.
Other#
Old Sherlock's Voice#
Within the general sounds, there are some unused sounds of hitting Sherlock Holmes. Those do not sound like the character's final voice (though it sounds like it's the same voice actor) and they generally sound like they're low-quality voice recordings. (You can even hear a "click" sound in "SherlockHit02")

From the game's launch up to version v1.0.5905 (version before July 17th 2026), audio files Chap01LondonWatsonEffort could be actually heard in-game, when Watson is trying to close the window. However, as confirmed by one of the other developers, this was simply an oversight - Cammisotto recorded those sounds as a test and the developers forgot to later change it to the sounds made by Francis-Berenson.
Emmett's hit sounds#
Unused sounds of Emmett getting hit. Normally, those kind of sounds are used on characters, when the player "slaps" them. Even though we get one opportunity to do that with him (in Chapter 3, where we slap him to lean towards the flying TP-Tron), he doesn't make any sounds, so those go unused.
However, the exception is the sound VO_Emmett_Hits_03, which is specifically used in the ending, when Emmett gets thrown back to Country Road and lands on the ground.

- The exception is the sound VO_Wilhem_Hits_07, which is also used, when the character gets thrown back to the Country Road and lands on the ground.

'...But does it make sense?' |
In chapter 10's texts, between the voicelines TrainPursuit_Intro and TrainPursuit_CoalCartEnd (row 2412) is a developer text in French in the ID column. It's not entirely clear what it's referencing, but it could imply that originally Watson was supposed to give comments upon hitting him enough times.
