Cory in the House is based on the greatest anime ever made, and it is also one of the highest rated games on Metacritic. In the game, you have to sneak around the White House without being caught.
Hidden Phone Numbers#
Dialing Josh Sterling#
Dialing 555-5527 (JJCS) on Cory's phone will start a developer conversation with the 3D modeler Josh Sterling about the game, with Cory himself being unaware that he's in his own video game and becomes eager to get himself a copy. (In universe?)
JOSH: What's up, buddy!
CORY: Who is this?
JOSH: I'm the guy who modeled every character in the game!
CORY: What game?
JOSH: Cory in the House for the Nintendo DS
CORY: They have a game based on my life? Tight! I gotta get me a copy of that!
JOSH: Anyway, enjoy viewing all the models I made! Kids, stay in school and don't do drugs!
Dialing Jonah Hoskins#
A follow up conversation with the game's lead programmer Jonah Hoskins can happen by dialing 555-6342 (MEGA) where Cory asks to get a copy only to be told it is sold out due to it being "the hottest game" out at the moment, as well as telling you that beating the game in under 5 hours without ever upgrading the nakishkas will get you the most powerful ones.
JONAH: Thank you for calling Little Gamey. Our Kung Fu Kats 3: Paws of Thunder are currently sold out. How may I help you?
CORY: Do you have Cory in the House for DS?
JONAH: Ah, no. We're currently sold out! That's the hottest game since DC3: Beats!
CORY: Dang, you know where I can find a copy?
JONAH: I'm not at liberty to release such information.
JONAH: But I can tell you that if you beat Cory in the House DS in less than 5 hours without upgrading the nakishkas,
JONAH: you'll be able to play through the game a second time with the most powerful nakishkas ever!
CORY: Okay, I guess I'll talk to you later.
CORY: Dang! I gotta find me a copy of that game!
Dialing Tim Thoreen#
A "conversation" with the lead animator Tim Thoreen. With Cory only responding with 'Huh? What?' Seen by dialing 555-8467.
TIM: Hey there! I'm Tim and I worked on the animations for Newt and Meena.
CORY: Huh?
TIM: I hope you're enjoying the game!
CORY: What?
TIM: Later!
Dialing Tony Zharoff#
A conversation with Tony Zharoff. Seen by dialing 555-9545.
TONY Oh, man! I'm so awesome. I totally designed this game with a paper clip and an old shoelace!
CORY: Huh? Game?
TONY Oh yeah! I wrote a lot of dialog you've been reading in the game, along with Gerrin.
TONY Too bad we didn't get a dialog head for him, or you could call him as well!
CORY: Man! I have no idea what's goin' on. I gotta stop calling these weird numbers!
TONY Oh yeah, most of the dialog heads in this game are from people who work at Handheld Games!
CORY: Okay, this is ridiculous. I'm hanging up now!
Candy Smiles Dialogue#
Dialogue from Candy Smiles reminding the designers to come up with dialogue for her cell phone conversations. Seen by dialing 555-6872 on the first day.
CANDY: Hello, this is Candy Smiles reminding the designers of Cory in the House DS to come up with dialog for my cell phone conversations.
50$ Number#
Dialing 555-2646 will appear with the name '???' before then giving the player 50$, you can only do this once.
Unfinished French Translation#
Each text file in the game starts with the following line:
"Label","English","French"
Every label has an English script, but instead of a French translation, every single line instead says '(Need Translation)'. Also, in almost every .bst file can be found text saying: 'RE-TRANSLATE', 'NEEDS TRANSLATION' and 'Needs Translation' copy and pasted over and over again throughout the entire file. The game wasn't released in Canada or France. An odd exception to this is the label "Kung Fu Kats", which instead of "(Need Translation)", has “Lost in Translation” for the French label.
Unused Locations#
Hallway East and West#
File MMRooms.csv in folder ResMaps is a map coordinate data file, used to position the rooms in the game. Two locations appear in this list that are not used in the final game, ‘Hallway East’ and ‘Hallway West’.
MapID,MMCenterX,MMCenterY,Name
1,0,0,2F Hallway East UNUSED
1,129,110,2F Hallway
1,0,0,2F Hallway West UNUSED
Art_test_bed#
Watch on YouTubeA rather simple test bed with a ton of green squares on the ground, stepping on the numbered ones (top left of the map) them turns you into a different character. Strangely, 37 and 38 (last 2) don't seem to do anything. To the left of where you spawn can be found text saying: 'TALK', stepping on it does nothing. Could be an early dialogue box.
Unused Contacts "Descriptions"#
The game has all the names for the contacts in stringTable_cellContactsDesc.csv, also having ones for hidden contacts. Despite never being able to see them in the contacts normally and them having a N/A value (The French label is also N/A).
Label,"English","French"

The game stores journal entry strings by day. Days 3, 4, and 5 are represented by the files stringTable_journal_entriesD3.csv, stringTable_journal_entriesD4.csv, and stringTable_journal_entriesD5.csv. Each of these days has 9 journal entries in the game, but contain 12 strings in the file, as shown below:
"Entry 10e","(Need Translation)"
"Entry 11e","(Need Translation)"
"Entry 12e","(Need Translation)"
