Collapse! Crunch

To do:
Screenshots of Collapse! Crunch as Super Collapse! III exist. Document differences as a prototype, prerelease, or revisional differences (whichever is applicable).

Collapse! Crunch is the fourth game in the Collapse! series, despite the .exe and .bin files being named Collapse3. In fact, Collapse! Crunch was originally called Super Collapse! III (not to be confused with Super Collapse! 3, the fifth game in the series).

Dummy File#

In the CD version, within the folder Bin\ is a 628 MB file named Launcher_Data.dbd, which, despite its name and apparently being a DemoShield file, is actually a disguised WAV file that has a duration of 62 minutes. The contents of the file are as follows:

  • From 00:00:00 to 00:02:59, there is silence.
  • From 00:03:00 to 00:07:40, there is what appears to be camcorder audio of kids trying to sing "Jingle Bells", possibly one of the developer's sons.
  • From 00:07:41 to 00:12:17, there is more silence.
  • From 00:12:18 until the end of the audio file, there is a repeating sequence of DTMF tones.
