Capcom Fighting Collection 2, the sequel to Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, brings a new lineup of titles with it, including the original arcade versions of Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper, Capcom Fighting Evolution, Power Stone and its sequel, Project Justice, Plasma Sword: The Nightmare of Bilstein, and... surprise! The first-ever inclusion of the first two Capcom vs. SNK games are also featured, putting them all into one compilation for modern platforms. It's also notable for having an original theme song titled "Take Your Best Shot".
Just like the previous compilation before it, this was nominated for "Best Fighting Game" at The Game Awards 2025, but lost to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.

In this compilation's port of Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro, the Kaiser beer advertisement sample (which was used in the original release of the game) was edited out of the "Stage of Ryu - Fist Explosion" BGM track due to legal copyright issues.
Regional Differences#
Like the previous game, all of the featured titles themselves have minimal changes to preserve an authentic experience reflecting their original releases, and the regional differences for all of them are the same as they were in their original arcade ports. Also, all the menu text is capitalized in the Japanese version of the game.

As in Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle, Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics and its predecessor, "Game Select" was changed to "Select Game" in the overseas version on the game selection screen. Each game's logo on the game select screen was also different between regions, (except for Power Stone and Power Stone 2) with the logos for Capcom vs. SNK Pro and Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 having the registered trademark symbol on the SNK logo removed outside Japan.
