Unused Death Messages#
In the simulators, clicking on the AOS indicator and typing in a swear word will get you booted out with the message "Watch your language..." Apparently doing so in the actual mission was supposed to lead to your death, with this message, located in LL7.EXE at address 0009B59E offset 9B5BA:
We notified the FCC regarding your blatant use of vulgarity on public airways, so we sent you wrong gimbal setting. You are presently on course to Alpha-Centauri. You should have enough freeze dried peas for the trip. Bye...
There is also this message at address 0009B8AC offset 9B8B9, meant for somewhere around the landing phase.
When you go on vacation on Earth, you pack; you prepare yourself. Now aren't you sorry that you weren't properly prepared for the lunar landing? Oh well, it really doesn't matter now. It was only two billion dollars... and your life!
Unused Text-to-Speech Messages#
You have a specific set of messages to type to send to Mission Control (the only one you really need to type is "go"). A few other prompts were also recorded, but none of them are actually used.
