Deluded Depths#
Fish Citizens#
The residents of Barrelbottom originally ought to talk, mostly just being excited about the Carpenter's show. It's possible some of the residents knew about Carpenter's schemes as one of them warns Alice to be careful when she meets him. Additional text reveals some fishwonen being terrified about something, that being the Infernal Train's arrival at the Deluded Depths.

Alice, I heard you're looking for the Carpenter. He's a good sort... Basically, a visionary. But ambition blinds the best of us. He likes to have his own way. He's kept us mirthful; kept us from the pollution of the train, and so on. But be wary when you meet. |

King Crab#
While Alice is gathering the Oyster Starlets, she would encounter a possible boss called the King Crab. Alice being one of them of course!

Protect? They're just actors, needed for the show. The Carpenter insists I bring them - that's his price for offering me information about the train. |
|
2_7_1_D_KingCrab |
He has only his own interests in mind. He and the Walrus. And you are their tool. We will protect the Oysters, vain and silly creatures, who will not protect themselves. We won't give way without a fight. |

Many lines by the Ghost Captain got left unused, most of which consist of him being either cheerful, impatient or irritated with Alice about messing around instead of freeing his crewmates. Some text implies that the Ghost Captain knows about Alice's past and he explains that the answers she seeks are not ready to be revealed yet.
