Five Characters in Search of an Author#
- Before the boss room, there appears to have been an additional area that was cut during development. Although none of the room’s geometry remains, several props are still present in the environment, including “RWC_Dog” and “RWC_Step_01” (generic platform). There is also an unused model named “RWC_TableBeeRoom.” While it is still placed in the boss room, it appears invisible during gameplay because it functions as a destructible object. Interestingly, “RWC_Dog” may have been designed to shoot bees from its mouth, as a similar prop appears in the DS version of the level.

Wii Moments#
Bite Night#
- The font is different.
- The score doesn't go from the food to the score counter. Instead, the score counter just adds up regularly without any effect.
- The HUD has another Homer in the place of the other fighter as a placeholder.
- A bell was removed from the timer.
- The cutscenes in-between the rounds are all very different. You could also originally skip them.
- Homer can be seen in the background as if this was a regular level and not a minigame.
The Quick and the Starved
- The CPUs are generally more aggressive, taking the food quicker than the final.
The Fat and the Furious
- You can generally eat faster than the final.
- The Gastro-Meter is not present.
Fight #1: The Land of Chocolate
- Comic Book Guy is present instead of the White Chocolate Rabbit, likely as a placeholder.
- The arena takes place inside a giant chocolate waterfall instead of near the giant cake.

Fight #2: Around the World in 80 Bites
- Barney's eyes are messed up in the cutscenes.
Fight #3: Invasion of the Yokel-Snatchers
- The arena is less detailed.
Fight #4: Game Over
- The arena is glitchy, as if the camera is zoomed out enough, the entire bottom of the arena and the decoration on the cloud are not shown.
Bart Wings#
- While descending, missiles occasionally fire from the aircraft carrier. It's unclear whether they can damage you or not.
- Bartman is shown on the progress tracker instead of Private Bart. The red lines were also moved over to the right a little bit.
- An icon for the Wii Remote and Nunchuk near the score count was removed.
- The loading screen is very different. The background is not moving, Private Bart does not have a mask, and there are missles, cloud rings, and a parachute in the background.
- The cloud rings have a different texture.
Heartburn#
Heartburn, also known as Homer Bowling, is a cut minigame where you play with the Homerball, go through a track and end by crashing into a pile of Springfield citizens. It uses an earlier Springfield Hub as a base for this minigame. There are many changes found here, but this will just show some of the main recognizable buildings.
Wii Moment Entrance
This door in Mob Rules which you can't enter in the final game is accessible and takes you to the Heartburn minigame. It is present in Mob Rules.
Map 2 (wm_hb2)
There is also a second version of the Heartburn minigame map. This map is particularly notable for using Version 0 level geometry, an extremely rare format that appears in only three .wii files across both the prototype and final versions of the game. Because of this, it is likely one of the earliest maps created during development. The map itself is very basic. Only some collision is present, making it impossible to actually complete the minigame, and there are no props or interactive objects. Much of the level also appears to be based on mob rules, with many of the minigame-specific assets only partially implemented. As a result, several pieces of geometry are misplaced, incomplete, or missing entirely.
The Lord of the Flings: Hobbapult#
- This just shows a blank sky, like the final game. It seems that no work was ever done on this aside from the loading screen.
Interiors#
These are being compared to the New-Gen version.
Church Interior#
The church looks mostly the same, the main difference being a missing desk by the main door, different floor color and there being only one staircase in the main room. Also, Ned Flanders is present instead of Reverend Lovejoy.Chur_Int.wii
