Early BGM#
CHIBI (COMICAL_B)#
|
Tokyo Game Show 2010 |
Final |
|---|---|
The 6th BGM filename for COMICAL_B was originally called CHIBI.
This music plays at 47998 Hz (instead of 47999 like in the final Xbox 360 version), and some different samples are used.
Unused Mode#
Photo Mode#
The prototype’s assets contain voice clips and text that are likely to be used in a feature to take photos of characters. Later, this data was released to the public in the PS3 game "G4U."
i47 Mode#
Only voice clips of characters remain for i47. From the number 47 and the contents of the voice clip, it seems that the system involved the characters touring all the prefectures of Japan.
Not only voice clips exist for Japan, but also for performances in Korea and the United States. There are also voice clips for seasonal events such as birthdays, Christmas, and New Year's, so it seems that there was a seasonal linkage system.
There are also voice clips introducing special guests, but it is unknown who was invited here.
In addition to the 10 playable characters, the characters participating in i47 also include the three non-playable characters "Ryugu Komachi" and the three "Jupiter". The three characters "Reika, Julia, and Rinko", who were discontinued, are not included.
"Jupiter" Production Mode#
This mode allows you to train the male idol group "Jupiter."
The members of the group were not playable characters in the final game, but the prototype contains voice clips which indicate the existence of a feature to train them. These voice clips show interactions between the player and each of the three members of Jupiter.
Unused ADV episode#
The early assets contain some ADV data that differs from the final version.
Most of it depicts the interactions between female idol characters and the male idol character "Jupiter."
Unused Characters#
The prototype version has an asset for an idol character that did not appear in the final version. Not only are these characters unused in this build, but they were also never even shown in the demo play at Tokyo Game Show.
The unused characters are called Julia, Reika, and Rinko (who was later renamed to Momoko Suou in MILLION LIVE!). Whether or not these are different or the same current actors voicing these idols is unclear.
These three share many similarities with the three idols who appear in THE iDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE!, a game in THE iDOLM@STER series released later. Therefore, it is believed that these characters were scrapped during the development of THE iDOLM@STER 2 and reused in another game several years later.
In fact, several pieces of evidence led to suspicion that these three characters were reused from THE iDOLM@STER 2 shortly after MILLION LIVE! was released. Then, with the leak and analysis of the prototype version, it became clear that this supposition was almost certainly true.
Unused BGM#
Unlike the final, BGM tracks that don't exist in this build play 20-58 seconds of static noise.
GRAVURE1#
Path: resources/bgm/bgm.nub2/bgm#17 (GRAVURE1)
Four unused BGM files for the unused Gravure mode are present on the disc, but only the first one has audio. This is replaced by an unused dummy file in the final along with the latter two, while the fourth file would be outright removed altogether.
Unused Voice Clips#

To do: |
A lot of communication voice clips for Julia don't appear in the final version. Of the voices, cnr_a02 is from the latter half of the game, when the intimacy level between the character and the player has increased. cnr_c01 is from the very beginning of the game.
