This page details one or more prototype versions of Maxi 15.

This prototype is documented on Hidden Palace. |
Watch on YouTubeA prototype of Maxivision was released by Hidden Palace on March 12, 2025. As opposed to the final multicart, which contains 15 games, this prototype contains an entire 30 29. This "30 game version" was what was shown off and advertised in the cart's half-hour long infomercial, which was produced before the cart was finished. According to the multicart's producer, Phil Mikkelson, the decision to slice the final cart in half came from both cost-cutting concerns as well as the fact that they didn't actually have the rights to most of the games included on the cart. (Ironically, they still didn't have the rights to two of the games included on the initial final release, forcing AVE to make a second revision of the cart)

Intro Differences#

The text on this screen was changed to be center aligned, and "multi-game" had its hyphen removed. The phone number was also changed, though neither of these numbers are the one shown in the infomercial (1-800-652-9200).
The font here is also different, featuring a shine and drop shadow. Interestingly, the prototype's font would end up being used for the second revision of the final cart.

The final cart removes Eddy Lin, Tom Lin and Dan Lawton's names from the special thanks screen, replacing them with Fred Hoot, Jeff Yonan, Jim Meyers, Phil Mikkelson and Robert Borgeson. Steve Weber and Mike Levey's last names are also spelled differently in the prototype.
Game Selection Differences#
As mentioned earlier, this prototype contains 30 29 games as opposed to the final's 15. Games unique to the prototype and their accompanying menu descriptions are:

DUDES II |
|
The final game selection is mostly taken from the first half of the prototype's, though Ultimate League Soccer, Mermaids of Atlantis and Wally Bear and the NO! Gang were substituted for Stakk'm, Chiller and Solitaire, which were originally game 16, 29 and 26 in the prototype respectively.
Game 30, DUDES II, does not actually work; selecting it simply boots up Chiller, the previous game in the list. While the name may make it seem like a sequel to Dudes with Attitude, the game's description instead seems to refer to Exidy's arcade game Crossbow, which AVE had planned on porting to the NES alongside the aforementioned Chiller (also a port of an Exidy light gun game), though said port never came to fruition.
Individual Game Differences#
Puzzle#

A rather simple typo fix. "Unscramble" was left misspelled.
Stakk'm#
The game is referred to by its original Taiwanese name, Poke Block, and is practically identical to said original release, including the game having no references to AVE.

The game's description on the main menu is also a bit more plain.

The description was rewritten to be a bit more distinct from the one given to Puzzle.

What would end up being the final game on the final cart also had its description spruced up a bit.
Wally Bear and the NO! Gang#
This version of the cart contains a fun instance of a prototype within a prototype, as the version of Wally Bear and the NO! Gang included here is an early build of the game! For more information, see its dedicated prototype article.
