Unused Graphics#
|
|
This needs some investigation. |
Menace Beach was supposed to have a jet ski bonus level but it got cut from the final game. However, graphics for Scooter on the jet ski as well as graphics for the background, water and points still remain within the ROM. On Miss Peach World, the sprites are still on the game's ROM, but are identical and were not changed to suit the new character design. On Sunday Funday, the sprites also remains buried on the ROM.
Level Skip#
There are two different ways to trigger this cheat.
Option 1#
- For Menace Beach and Miss Peach World, at the title screen, press Left, Select, Left (×6), Up (×6), Right (×6)
- For Sunday Funday, Left, Select, Left (×7), Up (×7), Right (×7)
White parts of the screen should flash red every time you press the correct button (except first Left). A sound will play if the code is entered correctly. Finally, press B to trigger the cheat and the message "YOU BIG CHEATERHEAD!" appears and another sound will play.
Now you can skip the level you're in by pressing B + Select during the game.

Option 2#
Start a new game, then press Up + A + B on Controller 1 and Up on Controller 2 at the same time. If done correctly, you will be sent back to the title screen. Like above, press B + Select during the game to skip levels.

Hidden Message#
Complete the game (or just use the level skip cheat) then, when the ending animation sequence ends and the message "PRESS A TO REPLAY SCREEN, PRESS START TO RESTART GAME" appears, press and hold Down + Left + Select.
While holding these buttons, a sound will play 10 times, then 5 times in row. Immediately, the message will appear at the bottom of the screen.

To do: |
Main Menu#
In Sunday Funday, a Main Menu shows up before the actual game, as it includes two extra games. Besides the main game, a game called Fishfall and a karaoke version of the song The Ride by 4Him were included.
Title Screen and Cutscenes#
Menace Beach |
Miss Peach World |
Sunday Funday |
|---|---|---|
In Miss Peach World, the title screen refers the game as Miss Peach World 1: Super L.A. Cop, and changes the copyright to Dan Burke specifically (a staff member from Color Dreams, who apparently wasn't actually involved with the game3), it also adds a License text. On Sunday Funday, an option to turn off the music was added to the title screen.
Menace Beach and Miss Peach World have 12 levels to complete, while Sunday Funday increases the number to 16.
Level 1#
Menace Beach |
Miss Peach World |
Sunday Funday |
|---|---|---|
"Well done, Assy. But you're just getting started!" |
In Miss Peach World, instead of rescuing your girlfriend, it instead shows drawings of adult women, which gets their clothes ripped throughout the game until both are revealed to be naked at the end screen. It still incorrectly mentions "MEANWHILE AT DEMON DAN'S", a leftover from Menace Beach.
Instead of either rescuing your girlfriend or having pornographic imagery, Sunday Funday has you fight your way to sunday school. This time around, however, it does not mention Demon Dan's. Additionally, all the cutscenes feature the same graphic, the only thing that changes is the dialogue.
Level 2#
Menace Beach |
Miss Peach World |
Sunday Funday |
|---|---|---|
"You're seeing someone else, aren't you, Assy?" |
In Menace Beach, the girlfriend's clothes are starting to tear, meanwhile in Miss Peach World, it shows a second character, still (almost) fully clothed.

In Menace Beach, as usual, the girlfriend's clothing is progressively more teared off, while on Miss Peach World, the first character's clothing is mostly torn apart. Sunday Funday does not have any cutscene during this level.
Level 8#
Sunday Funday |

This cutscene is exclusive to Sunday Funday, as the other two games don't include a cutscene during this stage.
Level 9#
The following content is |

Level 11#
The following content is |
|||||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
|
In Menace Beach, the girlfriend is only wearing a black bikini and an erroneously "A" is at the bottom of the screen, while on Miss Peach World, the second character is now completely naked.
Level 13 through Level 16#
Level 13 |
Level 14 |
Level 15 |
Level 16 |

Sunday Funday includes four extra levels, which means four new cutscenes were added in.
Ending#
The following content is |
|||||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
|
In Menace Beach, the main character and the girlfriend is shown at a dinner together, this includes unique animations only seen on this version. In Miss Peach World, both characters appear naked on the same screen. On Sunday Funday, the teacher is waiting for the player in front of a church.
Level Skip#
Menace Beach |
Miss Peach World |
|---|---|
The code used for the Level Skip is the same between Menace Beach and Miss Peach World, however, the color used in the last five characters are broken and the exclamation point is missing.
Hidden Message#
The following content is |
||||
|---|---|---|---|---|
|
The hidden message code in Menace Beach still works in Miss Peach World, however, it results in graphical glitches once entered. On Sunday Funday, the hidden message has been removed entirely from the game (the code doesn't work, neither the text is present in the ROM).
Room 14#
|
|
This needs some investigation. |
There is one unused room that can be accessed in FCEUX, by opening the HEX editor, and in NES memory, changing the first address to 17. This method of teleporting to different rooms can be used in Color Dreams' games which use the Kungfu engine (Secret Scout, Operation Secret Storm, Challenge of the Dragon), and also Free/Fish Fall.
Menace Beach |
Miss Peach World |
Sunday Funday |
|---|---|---|
In Menace Beach, this room plays the overworld music, and has 9 lives, and a hole to the left, which will teleport you to the start of World 4. In Miss Peach World, the room is purple, the ground texture was changed to dirt and the metal pipes were changed. In Sunday Funday however, there will be nothing at all, and the game will freeze.
