Specifically: Re-record the Smash and Grab and Love on the Run cutscenes with the patched build

General#

The missions False Idols and Bringing the House Down may crash due to a bug in the world streaming (sector streaming callback fail).

Vincenzo Cilli#

Slacker#

  • After dropping the dealer off, there is an additional shot in the cutscene of a Sindacco mobster looking at the dealer behind a corner.

Smash and Grab#

  • Featured an indoor cutscene with the rescued Leones confronting Vinnie after the heist gone bad. Replaced with a simple shot of the goons exiting the player vehicle. These voice lines can still be found in the final game.

Hot Wheels#

  • The MoCap cutscene is a bit longer than the final, with an additional shot of Vinnie speaking. What was being said is unknown however, as there are no subtitles for that portion of the cutscene and this build lacks the audio for the cutscene.

The Portland Chainsaw Masquerade#

  • There is an extra marker at the freighter, which triggers a short cutscene showing a pan over the area, followed a cut objective: "This place looks deserted. Board the ship.".
  • There is no cutscene after killing Vinnie, but a slow motion shot of him going down takes its place.

JD O'Toole#

Bone Voyeur!#

  • Alongside the counter for money owed, a timer is present. Both the September build and the final game give you the time at which the girls' shift ends instead.

Salvatore Leone#

Ho Selecta!#

  • Dropping girls off at the picket line is a brief cutscene.

Driving Mr. Leone#

  • Upon arriving at the ferry station, there is a brief cutscene showing two shots of the police presence, which was simply removed from the final.
  • The bridge opening cutscene is played right after hitting the marker after jumping the bridge, the final game plays it after you reach the safehouse.
  • After the bridge opening cutscene, your wanted level is cleared, while the final game keeps it until the very end.

The Sicilian Gambit#

  • The objective at the jetty was made a bit more specific.

Proto

Final

~w~Take out the ~r~Sicilian!.
~w~Take out that ~r~Sicilian wise guy!.
  • Instead of a minigun, the autoscrolling section gives you a rocket launcher.
  • The radio isn't scripted to automatically play "Renegade Snares" by the Omni Trio on MSX 98 yet.
  • Four enemies are spread out on the island that have to be taken out for the mission to progress.
  • Wider shots of the island are shown when getting off the boat.
  • The final encounter with Torini is clearly unfinished. Instead of being in a helicopter, he is on the ground armed with a pistol and has the health of a regular enemy.
  • Miles O'Donovan and Uncle Leone are replaced by models of Vinnie and JD respectively in the final MoCap cutscenes as placeholders.

Ma Cipriani#

Grease Sucho#

  • The race route was different, starting and ending at the Portland side of Callahan Bridge instead of Portland Harbor.

Dead Meat#

  • The sawmill gate opening is a cutscene, while in the final game it just opens without interruption.

Maria Latore#

Shop 'til You Strop#

  • Different camera behavior while dropping Maria off at the first store.
  • The shopkeeper at the second store is a Triad instead of the Deli Assistant like in the final.

Booby Prize#

  • The race used cars instead of bikes, even though its bikers you are racing against.

Overdose of Trouble#

  • When taking Maria to Hepburn Heights and back to "her place", you are stopped in your tracks to hear her lines in cutscenes. In the final game, hitting the markers instantly shows you the next destination on the minimap, making the mission flow better.

Donald Love#

Love on the Rocks#

  • After finishing the mission, a cut news report cutscene is shown. Compared to the September build, the shot of the ferry station is different and the audio itself doesn't play. The same segment is still played in the final game, but as a radio news segment.

Love on the Run#

  • A short cutscene showing the Colombian Cartel planting a bomb on the mansion gate and blowing it open is shown after the opening cutscene.
GTA-LCS_LoveOnTheRunJul.mp4

Leon McAffrey#

Night of the Livid Dreads#

  • The cutscene uses Ray Machowski's model in place of Leon's.

Ned Burner#

L.C. Confidential#

  • At the start of the mission, there is an additional short cutscene with a panning shot of the crime scene where you steal the FBI car.

Side Missions#

Go Go Faggio#

  • Still called PCJ Playground and uses a PCJ-600.
  • No fade to black when getting on the bike to start the mission.
  • The prototype gives you 10 seconds less time to hit the checkpoints.
  • The checkpoint placement is quite different, some notably placed on the very edge of a pier, making the mission significantly riskier.
