Additionally, all the "mini" characters save for Afro use larger facial textures, taken from their "regular" models.

  • Most of the environment decoration textures were changed:

Animations#

animations.csv, which seems to be a parameter file for the dancer animations, refers to a M_lady_hiphop02.ani file in the prototype, as a "Male" variation of F_lady_hiphop02.ani. The final game removes this reference, though the file still exists.

Changes on Inaccessible Gameplay Aspects#

  • The icons are different as well:

Proto

Final

Edit Mode#

  • In the prototype, there is a "Hard Disk" graphic in the main edit mode texture, meant to be seen when saving/loading a file; the final game opts to use text instead. Also, the Xbox console graphic used a slightly thinner outline, and the scrolling arrows were not colored.

Proto

Final

Options#

  • The Name Entry, Quest Profile and Workout Profile icons are still placeholders in the prototype data.

Proto

Final

Other#

  • The DLC tag graphics use a different color for the numbers.

Proto

Final

  • Many of Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 2's song videos are still in the game's data, which also include the unique videos for the songs GYRUSS FULL TILT, Superstar Nevarakka Mix and Tough Enough.

Unused Graphics#

testTex1.tga, testTex2.tga and testTex3.tga are simple placeholder textures, none of which are present in the final game.
