This is a sub-page of Prerelease:Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005).

Watch on YouTubeThe Core-X Most Wanted video from the Black Edition's Bonus Disc is, to date, the earliest known Most Wanted video content. It shows a blue Porsche 911 (996) driven by one "Eddie Chang" engaging in a police chase across a highway with the exact same layout as Highway 99 (which is located in Rosewood in the final game). However, the surrounding scenery is completely different to what surrounds Highway 99 in the final game; it appears to be a rural highway and even has pine trees, which no location in the final game has.

Eddie Chang#

The person driving the 911 in the video is detailed as Eddie "Dust" Chang from Pennsylvania, born August 16, 1985. Some speculate that he is Eddie from Underground. He has not appeared in any other NFS media since this video.

Rap Sheet#

The Rap Sheet as seen in this video is not a digital database inside a PDA like it is in the final game, but rather a literal sheet of paper with details on it. It is also differently presented, using pictures instead of just textual data.

It also appears to share the same function as the final game's Blacklist, as specific objectives are listed within empty image slots and their respective bounties are given below. Whether or not a separate Blacklist existed (if, at all, the idea of a Blacklist was even a thing) at this point in development is not known.

In one picture, Eddie's Skyline GT-R from Underground can be seen.

In another picture, a date reading "August 18, 2004" can be seen in a tollbooth camera recording.
