Japan Version#
Famicom Strategy Guide No. 102#
As seen in the magazine "Famicom Strategy Guide No. 102 (Merged on September 21, 1990 & October 5, 1990 combined issue)", on pages 19 to 22, it is possible to find photos of a Rockman 3 prototype even later than the one in the previous issue!
In the Select Stage, Spark Man and Magnet Man are already in their respective places as seen in the final version, and some of the differences seen here still correspond to the images from Game-TV and the previous magazines.

- As seen in previous versions, it still says "PRESS START" instead of "PUSH START".
- For some reason, the border of the portraits has a small placeholder square, something that is not seen in previous versions.
USA Version#
